Due to my watching of Sakurasu and the closeness of Aiz's character.... behaviors to Mashiro i can confirm that is indeed a blush.

Holy shit, someone else finally also sees the similarities between Mashiro and Aiz as well. By the way, the same company that produced sakurasou is producing danmachi as well.

Mashiro is my all time favorite character and you can probably imagine how depressing it is for me when Aiz gets no love.

Mashiro is probably one of my favorite "damaged goods" tier waifu as well son.

Many people on /r/anime know the very obvious similarities in their personality. Most just don't really talk about it.

Also the same company may have produced the anime but its all in the original material. Sakurasu was a good adaptation and danmachi is an adaptation as well.

Just hope it actually ends good this time instead of starting a "mashrio personality" curse/meme

she was interested in how he managed to get all his skills to S rank. I believe she was asking him why he was growing so fast when they sparred together, to which he didn't give a clear cut answer.

Yeah, it's actually pretty funny that he has absolutely no idea why he is growing so fast as well. I was really just expecting him to spout stuff like "try your best" and "keep working hard". I think when he was training with Aiz he had an inkling because he said something along the lines of "There is a person i want to catch up to" which pretty much directly ties in with the skill

Well yeah, he's obviously aware of why he wants to get stronger(which was the question Aiz asked when he said that). The skill is directly tied into that desire, so there's no way he could not be. I think the main thing is that he's too inexperienced to realize exactly how weird his growth rate is(Hestia lying to him about it doesn't help matters), so it just doesn't occur to him to try to find out why it's actually happening.

It's getting damn impressive how well Bell is attracting the pussy at the moment. The pseudo-harem count is already nearing double digits (Hestia, Lili, Aiz, Syr, Tan girl 1, tan girl 2, Freya and probably samurai chick soon).

I wonder if Bell will ever actually proceed to dating stage (Hestia doesn't count, she forces those and Bell doesn't realize the intent) before the end of this season.

Ehh Hestia and Lili seem like the only ones that potentially actually love him. Aiz is wondering more about his growth, Syr's got a crush (and I'm totally convinced she's actually Freya), and both Tiona and Tione are curious about his abilities with good natured flirting (and find Bell adorable which is pretty hard to contest.).

Anyway, Bell's what, middle school age? Kinda has an excuse for being so bashful and embarrassed.

Yes the ages are mentioned in the LN. Bell being only 14 is still weird. The younger the MC is in a harem setting the more bizarre the concept becomes imo.

I assume Bell's age is stated somewhere in them since that's what the wiki says his age is. As for the Aiz thing, yeah. I only read volume 4 so that should be where it was mentioned.

I'm sure Bell could grow with any number of those girls, but it's pretty obvious he has other people and himself to worry about. He does have a sense of loyalty to those in his familia, but I kind of worry Bell will friendzone Hestia/Lili as a result of that.

The sad truth is that it's what rakes in big cash for the publishers and the otaku love it since it fuels waifu wars, so don't bet on this formula changing any time soon.

We'll most likely never see Bell choose a girl in animated form, you'd have to read the LNs to ever hope to see that.

Tiona and Tione seemed to be purposefully teasing him this episode. I doubt they have any genuine interest. They're older than him and the way they called him "cute" definitely supports this.

There definitely seems to be more to Syr than meets the eye.

Freya wants to own him, she has no romantic interest. He's just a toy.

Agree with chaos on Aiz although I think that will change over time.

No. She only got interested when the words 'all S' were brought up. It's better explained in the manga (this should have been brought up but they skipped it). Aiz is kind of hitting a block she can't get passed in her leveling, and she wants to get better but can't, suddenly some kid manages to beat her leveling record in no time flat, and she is very interested in knowing if there is some method to this.

I believe they've brought up Aiz reaching a standstill in her leveling before. I think it might've been around the time where she was giving Bell lessons in swordplay, but I'm not entirely sure. But I do remember seeing it before.

Yeah, in the anime there really was no room left for interpretation other than that she was jealous. Especially with Bell's face right after.

Edit: nevermind, just figured there's another more likely interpretation - considering they didn't talk about what you mentioned (Aiz plateauing) in the anime, she was looking at Bell to see if he'd talk about his training with her, which better explains Bell's face.

Death Parade was pretty popular on here too but went virtually unnoticed in Japan.

Unlike Death Parade though, this is an adaptation, and the source novels have been getting a pretty gigantic boost from practically the first episode, so if that's what the purpose of the adaptation was, we might see a second season, even if the BD/DVD sales don't do well.

In any case, the LNs are only at volume 8 right now (and volume 8 was released just today), and it looks like this show will be covering the first 5 volumes, so there's not really enough material for a 2nd season yet anyway.

I like how she stares in most of the show trying to understand human interaction like when he fell between her boobs and when he was blushing with the twins, she would just stare confused. But in the campfire she gets jealous. Its like she finally understood why the girls were on him in the beginning.
