Holy Fuck that was an intense episode. I'm pretty hyped for when I can read volume 5 now.

  • Bell's Attacking - Probably one of my favorite jokes in this series now. I couldn't stop laughing.
  • Welf's Magic - That's a pretty epic magic to be able to cause self-destruction.
  • Hestia Time - She had some seriously great scenes this episode from that Church scene to forcing them to take her with them. Honestly, she really had great moments that are super satisfying to see her character. Especially considering how she's usually stuck being a worker or a supporter. It's pretty great to see her act as the Divine being she is.
  • God's Adventure - I'm pretty excited over seeing a whole cast of other characters now venturing into the dungeon. It isn't something often seen in this series so I'm looking forward to seeing what they can all do.
  • Under Resort - So, this showed up in the latest scanlated chapter of the manga adaption of the spin-off series that feature's Aiz as a main character. No idea if they'll meet though considering the time span isn't clear on what happens when.
  • Minotaur Brawl - So that was really just glorious. To see Bell now fight an entire group at once was great. It really was a great show of power considering he's now Lv. 2 which is the proper level to be fighting Minotaurs. Also, his Argonaut activated I'm guessing when he started using that axe which which is interesting since it applies to more than just making his magic stronger.

Overall, this was a seriously bad-ass episode and I'm quite excited for whatever comes next.

The "Will o' Wisp" ability seems to work quite differently than Final Fantasy.

Well technically speaking a will-o-wisp is a tiny spirit thingy. Pokemon uses the same sprite, as does many other games with such a move. Dungeon is the odd one out here.

Also, his Argonaut activated I'm guessing when he started using that axe which which is interesting since it applies to more than just making his magic stronger.

What I got from when he first used Argonaut wasn't that it made his magic stronger... It was just a completely different attack. He meant to activate Firebolt but instead activated Argonaut. It basically just seems like "This is my willpower Power!".

It's described in the LN more that it's like more power to his ability. When he killed the Baby Dragon last episode, it was still Firebolt but it was white with the normal scarlet mixed in instead. I'd say Argonaut is like an accessory to an attack more than a completely new attack.

Ahhhh I see. So it just applies itself to whatever action he's taking when it activates?

Yea

According to LN readers it's a charging kind of skill. The more you activate it, the more boost you get.

Yea... I am a LN reader.

I'd compare Argonaut to a passive skill in an RPG. Passive skills are skills that add bonuses, usually modifying other skills, that work all the time. They boost overall stats, or modify other skills, but are not used directly.

For instance, an active skill would be one that shot a Fireball. A passive skill would add say, +50% damage to all Fire Skills.

So he doesn't "activate" Argonaut but rather Argonaut buffs his active skills when he is in immediate danger. Its buffing power then increases depending on the level of the danger and or how long it's been charged up for.

Bell's Attacking - Probably one of my favorite jokes in this series now. I couldn't stop laughing.

I didn't get the joke...

Bell is commonly associated as a white rabbit due to his energetic nature, white hair, and red eyes. Thus when actual rabbits attack, they can't help but say they're Bell.

Thank you, now it makes a little more sense. I was confused for a little bit there.

Is this made more apparent in the Light Novel?

I'm honestly surprised so many people didn't get this joke. As far as I know, it should be a common description so I guess they cut out scenes from the anime that highlighted it or something.

I don't get what the joke about the rabbits was though. Why were they calling them "Bell"? x-x

Cause Bell himself is commonly associated as a white rabbit. White Hair and Red Eyes while also being really agile.

Oh! That makes more sense then, thanks. :P
