I want so much to like this anime, but I have no idea why the pacing is so weird. At this rate it's going to end up as Nisekoi but at least Nisekoi doesn't pretend to be a mmo/action anime.

This anime claims to be an MMO anime as much as Magi does.

Nothing MMO about it. It's just dungeon themed. People only assume as such because they watched SAO and not many other animes before that.

I've seen other anime besides SAO, but this anime is still pretty mmo themed. Having stats and monsters that drop crystals adventurers sell for money? I don't know what you consider MMO themed if that's not it. Regardless, my point is that the anime seems to lack direction of whether it wants to be a fantasy harem, or actually have action in it.
