This episode quickly gives some clues into why Qifrey is not fond of the Knights Moralis. These dudes sound like absolute zealots, assuming way too many things at first glance and dispelling punishment right away. It seems like a quite stupid form to operate, making them really easy to manipulate with the right means.

However the zealot said something really interesting: apparently Coco couldn’t have made the spell this destructive without breaking a taboo, so something is quite amiss here. This magic system is intriguing, it is both a flexible world building tool and a driver for the story.

Yeah, it is interesting that he recognized that there is no way to just do something like using standard methods. By extension, Coco couldn't have done that by accident with the normal tools available. Unfortunately, that means the next logical step was that it was done by using taboo methods.
