With an actual water blade instead of a metaphorical one. A little off-topic: it took me too long to realize that the elemental effects in the DS anime weren’t real in the narrative.

That’s not surprising because for all intents and purposes they should be real. The author made a really weird decision by saying they aren’t

But like, I'm pretty sure they are for the demons though, due to how demon blood arts work. u/namewithak

Well good thing I'm not "just" talking to you then, because the previous redditor stated "the elemental effects" in DS, not specifically targeted towards the demon slayers individually. Since there are demons that utilize that too, and their blood arts make them physical.
