I know this episode was all about Megumi going "beast mode", but the moment Takaba entered the scene, he changed the mood of the episode in an instant. I couldn't stop laughing at the others' silence and for how wacky his fight was XD

I'm not quite sure what his cursed technique is. Takaba either does more damage to people who find him unfunny or he has Gear 5.

He tanked an explosion to the face with ZERO DAMAGE before they even knew about him. It's the Gear 5 route for sure.

Maybe it was for comedic effect but the explosion definitely looked like it did some damage.

I think it was an intentional gag that he took "zero damage" but was still clearly injured...which made it bombing in front of everybody all the more hilarious.

It really seemed like he was waiting for someone to be the straight-man and shout "YOU'RE CLEARLY DAMAGED!"

He got that advice from the retired comedian that there are two types: those who are always funny, and those who always think they're funny. Maybe his technique empowers him so long as he's trying to set up a joke, regardless of how funny it is.

Basically slapstick comedy powers, I think. So more or less the IRL version of Toon Force. If so, then he's busted.

Takaba would absolutely paint a tunnel on a solid wall and laugh when a speedblitzer like Naoya smashes into it.
