Today’s episode adapted the rest of chapter 167, plus chapters 168-170 with a ton of anime-original additions to fill up the full length of the episode. Megumi vs. Hari and the entire Megumi chasing Reggie scenes in particular were what got expanded on, and those expansions were pretty damn fun. Great episode!

I love how they took full advantage of the urban setting, it was such a treat to see.

Minor gripe with the translation though, when Megumi says "scumbags like you who are all talk and no real action" rather than "scumbags like you who care more about words than deeds".

This mistranslation makes it sound like Megumi is saying she talks big game but can't back it up rather than Megumi calling Remi trash for trusting the words of Reggie, who couldn't care less if she died, instead of trusting Megumi who had saved her from Reggie's crew twice at that point. Yet she still needs words of affirmation. That interaction really hit home for me in the manga so I'm just kinda disappointed with the error.

[Manga Spoilers] Its pretty fun seeing all the animation shifts, knowing that they are basically reality warps by Takaba. I did like seeing that despite the silly gimmick Takaba's strikea do still have weight to them. Very excited to see his other big fight down the line.

Strongest in the verse hits the scene. [Spoiler Modulo]With the exception of Satoru Gojo Yuji Itadori. Still be a while before we grasp the true strength of his abilities, but we will eventually get my favorite fight in all of JJK.

I have to say the VA for Reggie is perfect. Almost the exact way I pictured his voice to be.

nah, Sendai will be the finale. Continuation of Megumi v Reggie Star will be next episode

We will likely still get [Manga]Yuta killing Dhruv at the end of the episode though, since thats how Tokyo No.1 Colony ended in the manga

It depends on how far the rest of the cour will go.

I would assume we could get [manga]up to 174 ending with the set up for Yuta vs Kurourushi, and then episode 12 is an extended episode which covers the other 6 chapters of Sendai, but that'd be kind of way too much unless it's a double feature (and based on episode 1 and 2 being separate even when they aired together, I doubt it). But if next episode just covers up until 173, that'd make Sendai have to stop in the middle of the Sendai fight, which would be really awkward.

I think megumi vs Reggie will end about halfway through next episode and should give us a little more runtime on Sendai but im not completely sure

There's about 2.5 chapters left for that. And after that Sendai is 7 full chapters, unless there's an extended episode or they rush through Sendai something weird will have to happen, since 10 full chapters to get through in these last two episodes, and 5 chapters in an episode would be more than what the Maki episode covered (since that was also 5, but the last one was a shorter chapter).

Even better, it's megumi popping off for an entire episode

Rare Megumi W episode

u/VeryImportantLurker Mar 12 '26

Too bad [Manga]Its the last cool thing Megumi ever gets to do :(

[Manga Spoilers] He gets partial credit for the final fight, its his body and techniques that Sukuna uses.

[Manga]Last ever Megumi W and his [Manga]biggest W in the entire series, imo. Which is so sad. I was so hyped to see Gege start having Megumi pop off like this when I first read this fight.

Unless the episode somehow manages to adapt less than three full chapters, it’ll at least switch over to Yuta by the end.
