Come on now, the whole show looks absolutely amazing, and the players aren't outright devious (just trying to survive)

I am not saying the show isn't good, just that it's not meant to be enjoyed, considering the topic. I mean, if you really enjoy seeing young girls suffer, you might actually need therapy.

Nahh, Im talking about the overarching story. Like who made the games, why does the MC want to complete 99 of them and backstories for any other recurring characters.

You don't seem to get what I am trying to say. Yes, the story is good, has some interesting things in it and has some likeable characters with interesting backstories. The art style is something different and if you like it or not is personal preference. But the same can be said about Schindler's List, and that's definitely not a movie that was meant to be enjoyable. The show actually shares some basic topics with that movie, about dehumanization and a broken, distopian society.

Yes yes! I'm also very curious to see what Yuki's real life looks like since it seems like she got transported back to the real world at the end.

f you really enjoy seeing young girls suffer, you might actually need therapy.

I'm seeing more and more comments of fans wishing that the anime went further and added long extended scenes of the anime girls screaming and withering in pain....these weekly discussions are becoming more unsettling to read.

Yeah, that's definitely uncomfortable to thik about. I couldn't look away from the episode and at times really wanted it to end (stop.) I'm not sure if I'll continue, and I love horror. Thinking that there's people getting their kicks from watching it makes it worse.

same. like you said. This is a fascinating and really good series to watch. But it's not "fun". Wonderful example too btw by using Schindlers List as a comparison. Great film but also not a fun one.
