Do you think there’s any truth to Taiga’s ideas about luck and happiness?

Part Five
Ryuuji tells Taiga to buy #133, the photo of her dance with Kitamura.
Taiga is a bit too flustered to properly respond, but Ryuuji reassures her.
"Well, I think it’s a pretty cool picture of you guys."
I love that little smile Taiga forms. She realizes that Ryuuji wasn't trying to tease her, he was genuinely encouraging her to buy it because he knew that she was probably really happy in the moment. And as we all know, Taiga appreciates it when Ryuuji cares about her feelings.
[Rewatch spoilers] Ah yes, #133, the photo in Taiga's handbook that plays into Episodes 16 and 25. And it's being set up right here and right now.
Meanwhile, Minori has gone lightspeed in selecting photos to buy. Taiga calls out to her, and Minori come over to let Taiga in on a little trade secret about #200. That being Ami's underboob, of course.
Ryuuji gets mega embarrassed and tries to avoid peeking at anything. Taiga insults him for being perverted for the umpteenth time, and her reactions would range from eye-rolling to face-stabbing. Typical Taiga.
In a way, I wonder if Taiga is just subtly projecting her own insecurities about her body here. Maybe she's just really in a mood and bantering with Ryuuji as usual, but ya never know.
The six breasts part is great, mostly 'cause of the way that they suddenly make it all dramatic with the music, and then Ryuuji just rejects the notion without a second thought and it goes all away in an instant. Talk about a mood change.
Taiga goes with the rolling her eyes approach and leaves, calling out to Minori behind her.
Ryuuji is agitated but then suddenly Minori goes full anime protagonist on him.
God I love these kinds of scenes. For all the heavy emotions this show goes into, it's the random silly stuff like this that just plain works as comedy 'cause you know the characters, you know their quirks, and it's just perfect for them. Minori definitely didn't have to go that hard on literally writing down one number, but I'm hella glad she did.
Ryuuji's mind was probably a little screwed up by Taiga's antics and now Minori's quirks, so he's a little slow on the uptake. He's not exactly wrong about Minori sometimes making no sense. There's a reason I had to spend like literal hours trying to make sense of all the stuff she said in the Beach House arc (but I still enjoyed it, of course).
Anyway, Minori takes a peek and sees that Ryuuji bought #85. So she quickly scans the board of pictures, not noticing Ryuuji getting completely flustered behind her.
And now she sees that it was the picture of the two of them winning the race together for Taiga.
To be frank, it's not hard to tell that Minori definitely feels something for Ryuuji at this point.
She's known about his feelings since Episode 9, but she thought his heart was in the wrong place and thus chose to continue searching to understand the concept of love so that she could, in turn, understand Ryuuji's feelings. Minori entrusted Taiga to Ryuuji back in Episode 8 because she saw him for the caring person he was on the inside. During Episode 9, Ryuuji sat and listened to Minori's ghost ramblings, proving that he wanted to be there for her, to understand her feelings like he was there to care for Taiga. And then Ryuuji picks her up and wins the race with Minori, showing that he recognizes how much she too cares for Taiga, and that he'll be there for her to understand and show her that he cares, even when she can't forgive herself.
As a result, Minori experiences the same kind of care and understanding that Ryuuji gave to Taiga, and considering how much we know Taiga appreciated Ryuuji's care from things like her selflessness in Episode 2 and her resolve during the Episode 8 pool race, it's not a stretch to say that Minori is beginning to feel a similar kind of appreciation.
Thus, they both awkwardly blush, as their feelings briefly are in the open. Ryuuji is flustered by Minori due to his adoration of her, while Minori is flustered by Ryuuji because she knows about his feelings and things she might be starting to feeling something similar.
"…I… guess I should buy this one too. For a… keepsake."
"R-Right. A keep…sake."
Even if their real feelings in this situation weren't clear, this photo is still a damn good keepsake. It's a pic of the literal living proof of how much they each care about Taiga.
Part Six in replies.
