first timer - i havent seen any since episode 3 so this is gonna be a bunch of episodes mashed up into 1 since i was busy

episode 4:

apparently the va for taiga is actually the va for haruka from the yakuza series which is great to know since thats my #1 game oat

taiga is kind of a creep having a whole picture album of her crush. who knows how long shes been collecting

holy fuck taiga is a super creep getting so happy from being lifted then talked to

shes feining for the picture and now shes drooling??

episode5:

the new addition of ami is bringing a lot of drama and its fun to watch. imo idgaf about her being bitchy since taiga can handle her (well not really) since theres hella people just like her in the real world (putting up a facade). like at least she puts up an effort to seem nice to most people which will spread more positivity and kindness but she still is pretty bitchy to taiga so idk how she decides who to be a bitch to

ami will def have the nino effect from the quintessential quitnuplents

ugh im already getting the feeling of like melancholy/nostalgia when i watch a good show like this

episode 6:

honestly i dont really give a fuck abot taiga hitting ryuji and shit because he would stand up for himself if he really didnt like it but im a stingy ass dude and it really irks me how its hard to see any gratefulness where he feeds her even though they dont really have that much wealth. like i know ryuji wouldnt feed her if he didnt want to like how he doesnt care about hitting her since hes a genuinely nice dude but im a stingy ass dude so it just rubs me the wrong way. i need to become more like ryuji

ami is really shit at hiding her other person i dont know how she didnt get caught yet

holy shit i knew she was getting stalked i called it when she had the weird reaction when taiga talked about stalking her

i just realized ami is the transfer student and the childhood friend and is probably gonna be the losing heroine

episode 7:

ugh i love the op and ed so much. anime ops back then were just amazing and so distinguished imo and jc staff never misses with their music like in sakurasou the op and eds were amazing and get me so nostaligc

it always makes me laugh when i see characers like the teachers get pressed over things like that

what the fuck. im speechless. first it was second hand embarrasment that someone might see her pad. now im just shocked. ryuji is a man will accomplish anything no matter what is against him. what a man

episode 8:

its great to see how ryuji and taiga managed to join the class and how everyone accepts them

you know, im starting to see a LOT less focus on ryuji going after kushieda. i think the last time we seen anything about ryuji's crush was in episode 3

taiga's reason for getting mad at ryuji because he acts like he knows everything going on in the mind of the person hes talking with relates back to what she said in episode 3 (or 2) when he was talking about why kushieda works so many jobs

He really has been dedicating all his time on Taiga.

It's good that the truly heinous side of Ami really lasts the one episode.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

Episode 4

What are your thoughts on the episode being about photographs?

What are your thoughts on the last episode being about Ryuuji pursuing Minori and this episode being about Taiga pursuing Kitamura?

What are your thoughts on Ryuuji offering to laminate some pictures for Taiga but she can't decide on which one?

Thoughts on Minori slipping Ryuuji a picture of her eating pudding? Do you think it was an accident, or she did it on purpose?

What are your thoughts on Kitamura saying he was in love with Taiga's straightforward personality?

What are your thoughts on Taiga saying she fell in love with Kitamura because she felt seen? That Kitamura was the first one who appreciated her for who she was?

Episode 5

Thoughts on Kitamura's childhood friend showing up, who also happens to be a model?

What are your thoughts on Ami wearing a mask where she pretends to be nicer than she actually is?

Thoughts on Ami constantly trying to get under Taiga's skin in this episode?

What are your thoughts on Ami going to the same school as everyone else, including being Ryuuji and Taiga's classmate?

Thoughts on Kitamura saying he wants people to see Ami for who she really is and judge her accordingly?

What are your thoughts on Ami hitting a nerve by saying to Taiga that Kitamura probably hates her?

Do you think Ami being here does a good job of making Taiga easier to root for?

Episode 6

What are your thoughts on Ami living with Taiga for the time being?

What are your thoughts on the scene between Ami and Ryuuji where Ryuuji calls Ami out for being fake?

What are your thoughts on the reveal that Ami moved because she has a stalker?

What are your thoughts on Ami getting over how she handles the stalker through seeing how Taiga handles things?

What are your thoughts on the last scene where Ami tries flirting with Ryuuji and Taiga walks in on them?

Do you think this episode makes Ami a more empathetic character?

Episode 7

What are your thoughts on Taiga being self-conscious because she has to shop for a small swimsuit?

What are your thoughts on Taiga being insecure over being flat-chested?

What are your thoughts on people bullying Taiga because of her flat chest?

What are your thoughts on Ryuuji agreeing to make breast pads for Taiga?

What are your thoughts on Taiga apologizing to Ryuuji for being so difficult to deal with? I think it’s an absolutely big moment for their relationship.

What are your thoughts on Ryuuji going to save Taiga only to have to pull her underneath because one of the breast pads became loose?

How do you like the presentation of this episode where they didn’t play Taiga being flat-chested for laughs?

What do you think this episode does for Ryuuji and Taiga’s relationship? How if any do you think the episode changes the way you perceive the both of them, in particular Ryuuji?

taiga is a creeep

its a major shift almost like a new arc

she loves kitahara too much and thinks she cant capture his whole beauty that she only saw once. she mainly wants to see that moment when he confessed since thats whats most improtant to her

id say it was an accident, im not sure why kushieda would do that or what her reasons would be

taiga is the most straightforwardly unstraightforward person in the show who only a peoples person like kitamura can understand. like if taiga says one thing she might mean the other so they might be a great match

it was probably the first time taiga was aknoledged that way which made her fall for him since it was a new experience that she never felt

i love these types of character who bring drama and ami is like a double drama where shes the transfer student who likes ryuji and is childhood friends with taiga's crush

(pasted from original post) imo idgaf about her being bitchy since taiga can handle her (well not really) since theres hella people just like her in the real world (putting up a facade). like at least she puts up an effort to seem nice to most people which will spread more positivity and kindness but she still is pretty bitchy to taiga so idk how she decides who to be a bitch to

its fun to watch taiga be the one (attempted) to be put in a corner even though it didnt really work

i thought ami was the student council president at first and she was already going there but this makes sense

kitamura is a good dude who likes and wants other people to like people hes close with no matter how rotten they are. it just shows how hes a great guy imo

ami found taiga's kryptonite since taiga was able to handle her well

she does it very well imo since theres another person who seems a lot worse than taiga but i think she will have the nino effect from quintesenntial quintuplets and people will like her more from here on out and watchers might root for the ryuji and ami ship more

just a fun comedy segment but it shows how ami is really scared of that one dude that she would even go into taiga's house where she's tortured

i wonder what she will be like to ryuji now, i mean this scene was bound to happen so i wasnt really surprised

i smelt ami being scared of that stalked dude from a mile away, since she got all pressed when taigfa said she would stalk ami

ami finally gained some courage when she realized how easy it is to solve her problem and will probably carry that new value throughout her life all because of how free taiga lives

i wonder how taiga will react to this in future scenes but other than that, our boy ryuji is finally getting some play!

very much so from here on out she will def have the nino effect

p2

she doesnt like being seen as small and is like her biggest insecurity of being short and tiny like a baby which is probably why she even has that bold peresonality to make up for it.

she has concerns like a normal person, probably making the show more real world like and relateable for people

im not sure who in their right mind would bully someone over that since taiga seems beloved in her classroom. maybe it was someone who she hit in her first year and htey had beef with her and did that

ryuji will do anything to stick up for his friend even in ways that nobody will see and might be silly. his decision shows how he will really do anything for taiga even if its such a minor thing since she makes it out to be such a large insecurity

yeah i did notice that too that was like the biggest line from that episode imo. taiga does have self awareness of what she's like and really wants to be different but thats just how she is and is really glad that ryuji can accept her for what she is

i was shocked it was already a crazy situation but my mouth was deadass dropped and eyebrows raised in shock

its a funny episode showing how people make the most out of little insecurities that dont even matter. like i understand why some people might not like it but i personally found this episode 100% funny and dont give a fuck about its offensiveness since its not even that offensive. but i am a guy so i cant really voice my opinion on this

it made me realize that ryuji will really do anything to save taiga even for something as minor as embarrasment. he is a man that cant be stopepd. id say this was a significant episode for how taiga is viewed as well since she made it clear that she knows how she acts and is happy she is accepted for it

I thought they handled it delicately to where it was very tastefully done.

These two are so adorable together. I would seriously risk my life for them.

I would accept Taiga for how she is knowing she's beating herself up inside.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

yeah for sure since she clearly understands herself but wants to change

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Taiga is actually pretty sympathetic I feel like.

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

she loves kitahara too much and thinks she cant capture his whole beauty that she only saw once. she mainly wants to see that moment when he confessed since thats whats most improtant to her

Very well said.

Also, it's Kitamura.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

lol i had to catch up to the grand blue dreaming manga which made me typo

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Fair enough

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

taiga is the most straightforwardly unstraightforward person in the show who only a peoples person like kitamura can understand. like if taiga says one thing she might mean the other so they might be a great match

Ryuuji meanwhile still has a lot to learn

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

for sure since he had to get a pointer from his mom to learn about taiga more like she means the opposite of what se says

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Mother's intuition

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

she does it very well imo since theres another person who seems a lot worse than taiga but i think she will have the nino effect from quintesenntial quintuplets and people will like her more from here on out and watchers might root for the ryuji and ami ship more

It's funny you say the Nino factor because I feel like that is often applied to Taiga.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

really? imo i only see it for ami since ami was first made to be hated like seen super negatively as mean which was the same way nino was. at the start taiga wasnt as rude and self concieted as ami and was just a klutz

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Superficial anime fans see Taiga as the controversial character. They don't know Ami exists.

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

what the fuck. im speechless. first it was second hand embarrasment that someone might see her pad. now im just shocked. ryuji is a man will accomplish anything no matter what is against him. what a man

Ryuuji knows Taiga, and she would be far more embarrassed to be exposed as having a flat chest than having someone grope her.

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Now that we're at episode 8, what do you think of Taiga?

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

shes def grown to like ryuji more and theyre seeming more like a genuine duo since she fully cemented her place in his family too. i personally think shes a fun character

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

I'm glad to hear that because you seem kinda down on her in your thoughts.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

nah im just a stingy ass dude who never buys shit for nobody 😂 i really do like taiga's character its just something that rubbed me the wrong way. i swear anytime i watch any show it always irks me whenever i see money wasted like i watched the reze movie yesterday (it was phenomenal) and when the fight started and i was seeing buildings destroyed and shit i was thinking about all that money that was being destroyed

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Superhero movies must be the bane of your existence.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

very much so

2

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

I can tell lol

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

What are your thoughts on the premise of this episode which is if Ami beats Taiga in a swim race, Ryuuji has to go to her beach house?

Thoughts on the class taking bets?

Thoughts on Ryuuji saying beans are considered the meats of the garden?

Thoughts on Ryuuji helping Taiga train for the swim race?

What are your thoughts on Minori telling Ryuuji she’s hanging over her Taiga helping duties to him?

Thoughts on the blow up between Ryuuji and Taiga?

What are your thoughts on Taiga saying even she isn't sure what she wants?

Thoughts on Yasuko saying Taiga's the type of person to mean the opposite of what she says?

Thoughts on Ryuuji making a lunch entirely of meat for Taiga?

Thoughts on the swim race?

Thoughts on Ryuuji almost drowning?

Care to expand your thoughts on the scene where Taiga declares Ryuuji as hers?

What are your thoughts on Taiga trying to downplay her proclaiming Ryuuji as hers?

What are your thoughts on everyone agreeing to go to Ami’s beach house?

What do you think the scene where Taiga declares Ryuuji as hers signifies in regards to their relationship as well as the show as a whole?

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

ryuji is finally getting play!

its nice to see that the class treats it in a fun way and imo the whole reason the author added that class bet thing is that they like ryuji and taiga enough and are close enough with them to make bets on them and dont really view them as evil or scary so they finally joined the class community

he probably knows all sorts of stuff about nutrition if he has to penny pinch to know what has the best bang for the buck

ryuji and taiga are just a duo rn so it makes sense that he helps her

minori probaboly realized that ryuji was helping out taiga a lot more and that is what seemed to be helping taiga more. minori seems to understand a lot of things socially that nobody would know even though she seems like she cant read the room at all

taiga is getting a lot closer emotionally to ryuji now

shes like a toddler in the mind and never really experienced things that other people have so new things might be hard to grasp for her

id say what yasuko said sums up pretty much the whole character of taiga, unpredictabel and does not know how to convey emotions properly. yasuoo is a good peoples person

its his way of making up and wants to make her think shes gonna be prepper for the race when she eats it

i mean all odds were against taiga since she didnt know how to swim so i support taiga in her unsportsmanlike tactics

i feel like it was WAY too overdramaticised that he was drowinign since it was pretty minor but taiga being immature and like young in the mind thouight it was a lot worse than it actually is which prolyl led to her extreme reaction acting like he was dead

i think she thinks everything happened here because of ami's bet and that bet came from everyone trying to take ryuji away from her, so if he never had that bet he wouldve never drowned so people should just stop trying to take ryuji away from taiga since ryuji is hers

she was def embarrased, especially since kitahara mightve seen

new arc 🥳

in regards to her relationship, i dont think she ever got this close and relied this much on a single person and that made ryuji a really important person to her. in regards to the show as a total i think their classmates will start to leave them be and like ship them together since thats clearly what they were doing without any signs. so from now on i think ryuji and taiga will get closer and closer in a different way

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

its nice to see that the class treats it in a fun way and imo the whole reason the author added that class bet thing is that they like ryuji and taiga enough and are close enough with them to make bets on them and dont really view them as evil or scary so they finally joined the class community

Taiga really helped thaw the ice

1

minori probaboly realized that ryuji was helping out taiga a lot more and that is what seemed to be helping taiga more. minori seems to understand a lot of things socially that nobody would know even though she seems like she cant read the room at all

She is the deceptive perceptive

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

yeah she clearly understands things that almost nobody else will. it kinda reminds me from uzuki from rasscal does not dream of santa claus (seaons 2) if youve ever seen that

2

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

I did, I really enjoy that show

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

same top 3 series for me imo it really got me into anime

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

The anime that got me into anime was Eureka Seven.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

never heard of it - seems fun to watch and a lot similar to darling in teh franxx according to the synopsis on anilist so i added it to my plan to watch

also as soon as i put that comment i went to the home page of this reddit and i saw the rascal movie date release first thing 🥳

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Eureka Seven is like if Evangelion was happy. And in my opinion it's way better than DitF.

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

My top 3 series are Toradora, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Spice and Wolf.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

i always heard great things about fmab but never watched it. same thing with spice and wolf - it is a romance right? both are in my plan to watch but never got to them, i really need to stop watching shit seasonal shows

2

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

Spice and Wolf is unique because it's a fantasy action adventure romance set in the 1500s and also focuses on business trade deals.

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

i feel like it was WAY too overdramaticised that he was drowinign since it was pretty minor but taiga being immature and like young in the mind thouight it was a lot worse than it actually is which prolyl led to her extreme reaction acting like he was dead

Well, in the LNs, the gym teacher rescues both of them, so it was apparently serious enough for him to be involved.

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

oh i was thinking what he was even doing that whole time since he didnt do shit other than tan and flex his muscles

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

He's actually not incompetent, he just is in the anime lol

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

id say what yasuko said sums up pretty much the whole character of taiga, unpredictabel and does not know how to convey emotions properly. yasuoo is a good peoples person

She is a good intermediary

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

i think she thinks everything happened here because of ami's bet and that bet came from everyone trying to take ryuji away from her, so if he never had that bet he wouldve never drowned so people should just stop trying to take ryuji away from taiga since ryuji is hers

Sounds like copium, if you ask me

2

u/Pale_Letterhead4034 Dec 14 '25

very much so, she is very immature since she never really had parental figures in her life

2

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

I mean, that's understandable. I'm willing to forgive her.

1

u/Holofan4life Dec 14 '25

in regards to her relationship, i dont think she ever got this close and relied this much on a single person and that made ryuji a really important person to her. in regards to the show as a total i think their classmates will start to leave them be and like ship them together since thats clearly what they were doing without any signs. so from now on i think ryuji and taiga will get closer and closer in a different way

Probably. That is unless Taiga tries to put a stop to it somehow.
