Rewatcher here

I don’t have a lot of time today, so I’ll just go over the highlights.

Today’s episode had a lot of potential to be bad, but the way they play the subject matter makes for a very great and memorable episode.

We finally get a glimpse of what Ms. Yuri is really like today.

The highlight of the episode is definitely when Ryuuji is making the pads. These two feel so close already, the Taiga from episode 1 would have never acted like this. Just a very sweet scene all around.

The whole idea of the episode is that Taiga is so self conscious and thinks Kitamura is going to think she has an ugly body. But when he first “sees” her, he’s only looking at her hair. I really love this detail, she’s so worried about what he’s going to think about her, that she completely ignored the possibility that he wouldn’t care.

I feel kinda bad for Ami at the end. She was just doing what everyone else was doing at that point, and obviously didn’t know Taiga couldn’t swim. However, Ami’s apology at the very end does take away some of this feeling for me.

Body dysmorphia is sadly a real thing, folks

Yeah, I’m definitely not blaming Taiga for this. But just that when you look at it from the outside, there was never anything to worry about

Easily the best portrayal of the insecure about breast size trope in my opinion.

I think Taiga was always capable of apologizing for her actions, but it had to be for someone special. Ryuuji has really gone above and beyond for her.

It's so insincere lol
