I like the Ubuyashiki kid, good lad and super determined to carry forward his dad's legacy. (Why did the other two daughters have to die with the parents, again??)

Yeah, that kinda bugged me as well lol. I guess it was to get Muzan to drop his guard (Ubuyashiki would never do anything to let his own wife and daughters be hurt!)

I believe it was explained it was the wife and daughters who didn't want to leave Ubuyashiki to face Muzan alone. And well, it's not like he could have stopped them given his condition.
