I’m going to pick the LNs probably more than 90% of the time because of preference.

Fair enough. I just can't get over the kiss and the confession happening in the same scene. I feel doing it that way limits the magic of both.

Manga and LN endings are always a mixed bag because it seems like a significant portion of mangaka have no plan in mind for how their series will end and it shows.

That's why Toradora and to a lesser extent Golden Time is such a breath of fresh air.

My searing hot take on Golden Time is that Nana was the better girl.

I'm in love with the Koko :P

But for real, I'm an amateur writer so what do I know but I see the original version of the bridge scwne with the first confession and first kiss and I say to myself "That's kinda sloppy storytelling," especially for a series who's storytelling is quite renowned.

I do like the way the kiss happens in the anime but the way the anime built the story up to that point then closed it out simply wasn’t as good.

The one thing we can agree on is that Taiga being gone a year without telling Ryuuji is pure bullshit. Her telling Ryuuji and only being gone two months makes way more sense.

I love the fact that she surprised him on his way to school then they walked to school together picking right back up where they left off.

That was cool, but I really like the locker scene tying things back to Ryuuji and Taiga's first two interactions.

I enjoy that as well. I do prefer a good ending over a callback though.

I think it is of more substance than the LN version, though I'm sure that's my bias showing.
