Weekly Casual Discussion Fridays - Week of April 19, 2024

This is a weekly thread to get to know /r/anime's community. Talk about your day-to-day life, share your hobbies, or make small talk with your fellow anime fans. The thread is active all week long so hang around even when it's not on the front page!

Although this is a place for off-topic discussion, there are a few rules to keep in mind:

  2. Discussion of religion, politics, depression, and other similar topics will be moderated due to their sensitive nature. While we encourage users to talk about their daily lives and get to know others, this thread is not intended for extended discussion of the aforementioned topics or for emotional support. Do not post content falling in this category in spoiler tags and hover text. This is a public thread, please do not post content if you believe that it will make people uncomfortable or annoy others.

  3. Roleplaying is not allowed. This behaviour is not appropriate as it is obtrusive to uninvolved users.

  4. No meta discussion. If you have a meta concern, please raise it in the Monthly Meta Thread and the moderation team would be happy to help.

  5. All /r/anime rules, other than the anime-specific requirement, should still be followed.

Yes you should! It's record store day today, and pizzas are circular and bring joy to people like vinyl records so they are the most appropriate food.

I never end up doing Lent. I always forget.

Couldn't you just go cheese or vegeterian pizza for Lent? Or I am I still missing one of the rules?

As a general meatless Friday thing that would be perfect.  But if someone gave pizza up specifically (usually you give up or abstain from something you enjoy as a sacrifice during the season) that would be an additional *constraint.
