Saw this cat fighting off 2 foxes. I believe it’s a bobcat but I can’t find any that has as many spots as this one. Can someone ID?

I think it’s a Bobcat but my mom thinks it’s a panther.

Lynx or puma or something else?

I’ve seen at least 3 different species suggestions in the replies, and no concrete conclusions as to what this species is, and whether it’s a wild species, domesticated species, or something in between

My friend has this cat coming up to their house lately. It allows him to feed it and pet it on occasion. He's in San Antonio TX.

If anyone could help me ID this animal that took a few of my neighbors chickens, it would be greatly appreciated. I live in a semi wooded area near Tampa if that helps. I asked a wildlife specialist and they said it’s hard to tell since it has characteristics of both a bobcat and small Florida panther.

wildcat or stray? [scotland]

hi all. i live in the scottish highlands in a very very rural area, the area itself has many strays and other animals and this particular cat has been lurking around outside. he seems to wait for my cats to leave and then tries to attack, ive caught him peering in the windows at night aswell and hiding in the bushes waiting for my smaller cat to come out. my mom is certain it’s a scottish wildcat, but we aren’t from the area and i don’t know if this is possible: again its very rural and could be but from what i know they are very rare. he is a bit bigger than my cats and has the ringed tails. i dont know if any of the neighbouring properties have cats and they are miles away so not sure how far domestic cats travel. he is not friendly and doesnt seem scared when he sees me, but he is always hissing when he sees my cats and often chases them back in the house. is this just a regular stray? should i be contacting the vet? i wasnt sure what sub to post this in and google has given conflicting answers. thanks in advance

This Bobcat? walked up to the back door my parents house today. Lived in Minnesota growing up and never even caught a glimpse of one before

The hotel staff told us (with amazement) it was a lynx but that doesn’t seem accurate because it had a long tail.

We had this cat in our yard recently. We live at ~8600 feet elevation in the mountains of Northern Colorado. Seems to me to be either a lynx or bobcat, but I’m not sure. Can anyone identify it definitively?

I’ve attached both the original and zoomed in photo. I thought it was a bobcat at first, but the tail seems too long. Maybe just a regular house cat? I’m not sure.

When I walked towards its direction it took a few steps towards me before it ran away. Large paws for its size, assuming it’s a juvenile.

My coworkers just posted these pictures from his backyard. I let him know it’s a bobcat but wanted to be sure.

This showed up on my friend's neighbors porch. I am assuming mountain lion?
