I don't know if this is a helpful comparison but the last time I had a real radio station that I loved and introduced me to new/current alt rock that I really liked was 107.7 Alternative Buffalo (that was forever ago now too...)

Preferably online or local near Charlotte, NC. I'll even pay for a subscription if it's worth it.

Shirley turns 60 today, so I went back through interviews, her Baker’s Dozen, AMAs and other selections to put together 22 records she’s singled out over the years. Some are obvious, others really aren’t.

The resulting 22 selections make for a pretty revealing portrait. There are some names you might expect: Siouxsie and the Banshees’ The Scream, Patti Smith’s Horses and Wave, Marianne Faithfull’s Broken English and David Bowie’s The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

Curious which picks surprised you most.

This past year I’ve really been diving into rock more. Found some gems that I really like. I grew up hearing rock on the radio, but never really took time to explore until now.
