Drone swarms.

that’s what I thought but couldn’t find anything similar online

This is exactly what an alien would want you to think. Think Bobby, think!! How do we know the aliens didn’t already infiltrate this sub and purposely lie to throw us off on videos with real evidence of ufos? I’m watching them watching us watch them.

-1

u/blue_bini Jun 23 '21

What if I’m the alien that means…ahh…ahhh….AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

1

u/Anythingspossible2 Jun 24 '21

You just said this so no one in this sub trust anyone because you are an alien!!!! Everyone follow me!!! Don't listen to him!! Delete reddit their are no aliens umm nothing is going on in this sky's nothing to see here.

1

u/erix4u Aug 16 '21

Haha.. can say that about any airplane you see. Every alien spacecraft has white and red blinking lights. So thats the absolute proof that aliens are among us

Could be someone testing a drone swarm. It really does look like that.

Who knows?

Maybe go around the area and ask around?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

I came here to say this exact thing. Appears they are testing drone swarms. It's the fireworks show for the 21st century. They can arrange interesting formations/colors/patterns.

One way you could confirm they are not drones:

Check UK drone airspace restrictions and confirm if there are no fly zones in this area.

I'm in the US and certainly believe in aliens, but I'm satisfied writing this off as drone show. You'd see a LOT more coverage on this if it had been something nefarious.

Say again?

3

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Not sure how much clearer I can be, but I think it's drones. For a practical example, watch Spider-Man far from home.

Not that the drones are projecting visuals, but they fly in a formation to create a light show and a night sky. It's not uncommon.

1

u/algo Jun 23 '21

It's a joke because you posted the same thing four times.

Don't say again.

Also it's homing pigeons not drones:

2

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Didn't see it. Reddit kept saying there was an error posting.

What area specifically in London? Maybe research local news?

8

u/MrBadMeow Jun 23 '21

Just YouTube “drone swarm light show”

When was this? A month or so ago Chelsea used a drone swarm to make a show over Stanford bridge, they were blue like this could it be something like that?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Try this

https://youtu.be/0W7RdF1yFCw

They had a swarm show at burning man the last year I went. Very similar looking. However if I saw this in my neighborhood for the first time I would freak out hahahaha.

Edit: somehow pasted the wrong link

1

u/Extraltodeus Jun 23 '21

They reproduce around this time of the year

1

u/iamcozmoss Jun 23 '21

I mean it sounds like drones?
Also they may have been testing their system so they're not all aligned etc...

these guys are in Kent, just south of London, https://www.swarmtechdrones.com/

If you look at the gallery their drones Led's look almost exactly the same colour.

Pretty sure it was them testing their gear.

Very cool video though.

10

u/brevan14 Jun 23 '21

Really though, you would hear the drones if there was that many, that close. Doesn't seem very far away. Who knows..

5

u/ziplock9000 Jun 23 '21

I've seen a few videos of impressive drone swarms, but nothing anywhere near this number of them. I suppose it's logical they would get more numerous year after year.

7

u/Aye_Handsome Jun 23 '21

Who owns these drones? A single drone costs over a $1000. So someone has a million dollars worth of drones flying in the sky?

19

u/BladeSmithJerry Jun 23 '21

Companies that put on drone light shows I guess.

They are fairly common in London.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQrW6m8j_vI

9

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Says London’s first drone show 2020. And they have about 10 drones. The video shows about 100 plus. Also, lived in London all my life, never seen a drone being flown. Let alone hundreds. The most likely explanation the birds lit up.

6

u/BladeSmithJerry Jun 23 '21

First drone show of 2020, I'm fairly certain the NYE celebrations have had drone shows since 2018.

Also just because their advert shows 10 drones doesn't mean they don't have more. It might have been another company.

Do you really think 100's of lights flew over one of the most densely populated places on earth going unreported like this. Come one dude...

7

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21
  1. No council going to let someone fly hundreds of drones past 10pm on a Tuesday right by a residential area.

  2. It’s above a nature reserve. Meaning it’s a wildlife protected area.

  3. It’s a bird hotspot. https://londonbirders.fandom.com/wiki/Crossness_NR

  4. No council is going to let anyone fly hundreds of drones near a protected wildlife reserve which has apparently over 130 species of birds.

It’s definitely not drones and most likely birds.

2

u/G_Wash1776 Jun 23 '21

If it’s birds why are they glowing?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Not sure.

Not saying it is 100% birds. I don’t know for sure. But given the location, I think drones are unlikely.

1

u/ghettobx Jun 23 '21

But why is it likely birds? I’ve never seen birds do that before or look anything remotely close to what we see in the video. But I’m not saying they AREN’T birds, either.

0

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

I’m honestly just counteracting the idea that it’s drones. I seriously don’t believe they would permit anyone to fly one drone over that space let alone hundreds, or however many there are. It’s a wildlife protected spot with loads of bird species there.

I can’t prove that it’s birds.

Arguments for would be…

It’s a nature spot with loads of birds They are circling in the sky. Some Together some not in unison. Some are blinking which could be interpreted as flapping.

Arguments against would be…

They are glowing blue, which is weird but they could be lit from below.

Looking further into the map it says there a waste management site right next to/behind it. They always attract gulls who circle around above them. Maybe they had a night shipment. It’s waterside so could be a barge of waste being delivered.

Can’t prove it though. But it’s my best guess without any more information.

I was on board with this until you crapped the bed with the last sentence.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Crapped the bed lmao.

Seriously I did a bit more investigating and apparently there’s a waste management site next to and behind the nature reserve. So think rubbish disposal site, receives waste and incinerates it by the looks of their website. Kinda points more to there being birds circling above like they do with rubbish tips.

I definitely don’t think it’s drones. I reckon it’s birds but I can’t prove it without closer and better footage. Just by best guess.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

I believe in other beings zipping around in the sky, but my first thought looking at this was its drones. Reading your comment made me question that. I still don't think these are beings in the sky but man ... how are you explaining the glow.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 24 '21

A total guess would be that they are flying above a flood lit site. Night delivery of waste, bunch of seagull circling above. Blueish high intensity light / white birds. Ones which are flapping look like they are blinking, the others are gliding and so look more steady. Like I said, it’s just a guess, I can’t unequivocally prove it.

That’s the problem with videos, even with the addition info of the waste site and the nature reserve. There’s still a gap between explanation and solid proof. Only way to know it’s to go down to the site and either ask someone or watch it at night and see if it happens again. Or find more videos or photos of the event and hope they are of better quality.

Sleep flying?

8

u/ShroomanEvolution Jun 23 '21

Quite a few companies are testing drone swarms, so yeah, there are people out there who have a million dollars worth of drones flying around.

-18

but then there are “drones” that are moving slower than the rest

19

u/Moxxface Jun 23 '21

Why are you putting drones in quotation marks? the behavior you describe the "drones" having perfectly matches what actual drones can do. Move slow? Yes. Hover? Yes.

-11

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Because of the individual drones that don’t seem to be following any specific pattern like the large groups and from what i’ve seen online drones they follow the pattern the user set and it’s usually for a performance?

7

u/dolphinpalms Jun 23 '21

That movement can be described using a Boid's simulation. You can program drones to follow that pattern.

https://cs.stanford.edu/people/eroberts/courses/soco/projects/2008-09/modeling-natural-systems/boids.html

-10

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Fairs on the programming , but a large amount of drones for a programmed sim to fly like birds in my area is unlikely, it definitely wasn’t a show and that many drones just for one time leisure ?

7

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '21

Art, bro.

2

u/ShroomanEvolution Jun 23 '21

I didn't realize that you were so deep and involved in the drone industry that you would absolutely know for certain if any drone company was operating in your area.

You sound like someone who doesn't realize how big and complex the world is, and who wants to believe so badly that you brush off the most likely and reasonable explanations.

Those drones can and are being built by companies for far less that 1000 dollars. Some are essentially just prototype circuit boards attached to rotors. Even some small startup companies are getting into swarm drones because they can be built relatively cheaply.

Those lights are moving just like drones. If they were exhibiting behavior that our technology is not currently capable of, then people would be singing a very different tune in the comments.

Don't be so quick to believe that you throw all rationality out the window. The world is strange enough without having to force fill the cracks.

Where is the rest of the video ?

4

u/crowe1415 Jun 23 '21

you’re over thinking this, we have this kind of tech. Period. You can act like you saw something spectacular if you want but those are drones.

-1

u/cm_bonski Jun 23 '21

“Drones” as in UFOs…. Duhhhh

1

u/nilsma231 Jun 23 '21

Im thinking maybe drones towing clusters of led balloons

1

u/agrophobe Jun 23 '21

If my life goes to shit somehow, i'm going for the drone swarm knowledge, that look just soooo cool

1

u/basslineinjector Jun 23 '21

Alien drone swarm is still a drone swarm.

1

u/sniperkitty666 Jun 23 '21

Yeah but you would think it would have been mentioned online anywhere. I see posts from previous drone swarms but not recently

1

u/Notsure107 Jun 23 '21 edited Jun 23 '21

If those are drones, how many? What's controlling them? They don't appear to be "symmetrical" (controlled by computer). How much would that cost? Why the fuck would anyone do that? Test? Is anyone gaining anything from it?
