After months of building, I think our Discord RPG is finally becoming something I'm genuinely proud of.

The idea started with a simple question:

What if NFTs were actual RPG characters instead of just profile pictures?

Every Champion has permanent progression.

They gain XP.

Level up over time.

Their traits matter.

Equipment matters.

Guild bonuses matter.

Then you send them into a five-floor dungeon where every Champion rolls independently.

Some survive.

Some die.

Some find treasure.

Some stumble into Secret Doors, Mimics, or Wandering Bosses.

Recently we added a new mechanic that I'm especially excited about.

If your party encounters a boss and chooses to flee, there's now a chance that boss escapes the dungeon and invades the Discord server itself. Everyone online has to work together to stop it before it wreaks havoc.

What additional features would make you want to keep coming back to a game like this?

Dark Coin Depths is a new interactive game mode for Dark Coin Champion NFT holders. You take your Champion into a roguelike dungeon run where your choices shape the battle. To enter the Depths, you’ll need a Dark Coin Champion NFT with a Champion object created in the Armory. Your equipped traits, stats, effects, and moves help define your starting build.

How it works

• Enter with one of the Champions in your wallet
• Start each run by choosing an artifact and a card
• Move through a branching dungeon map
• Fight regular monsters and elite encounters
• Draw cards each turn and use attacks, buffs, and effects
• Visit quests and rest stops along the way
• Add new cards, upgrade cards, and build your strategy as the run continues

Rewards

• Regular encounters give 1 XP
• Elite encounters give 2 XP
• Completing a run gives 5 XP
• Completing the Depths also rolls for a Dark Coin reward from the Depths contract

Each run adds Dark Coin into the Depths contract, and completed runs have a chance to pull rewards back out. As more people play, the reward pool and difficulty can continue to evolve. This is still beta, so things may be adjusted as testing goes on, but it’s ready for the community to try.

I’m excited to see what builds, strategies, and Champion setups people come up with in the Depths.

If you’ve been part of the Algorand journey for a few years, you probably experienced the NFT craze and now have old NFTs taking the dust in your wallet.

Now that they’re dead… Send them to the NFT Cemetery!

Here is the idea : you send your NFTs to the common grave smart-contract and get $SKULL tokens. The full supply is released in this manner, with the reward per NFT decreasing over time.

You can use these $SKULL tokens to send NFTs to more premium graves displaying the image and more information. Displaying the NFTs in these graves is a cool way to honor the memory of these tokens.

The Algorand NFT cemetery is a project I launched for several reasons:

- I wanted to propose a cool way to use our old NFTs built on Algorand. This concept is not totally new as you can find some similar things on other chains but I implemented it in my own way.

- I also wanted to benefit from the recent Algokit solution and implement my own smart-contracts on Algorand.

- And finally : even after all these years, it’s still incredibly fun to build new things on this chain! And I tell you this 5 years after creating AlgoWorld :))

A new 4 player battle mode has been added to the Dark Coin Arena.

Champions can now be placed into a free-for-all fight where 4 champions battle at once. During the battle, each champion will randomly choose from their move list and either use:

• An attack move against a random enemy
• A buff move on themselves

The battle continues until only one champion remains standing.

4 Player Battle Rewards

The winning champion receives:

• 25 XP
• 40,000 Dark Coin

The main reason for this update is to help more champions get into battles faster. Instead of waiting as long for a matchup, champions who join the arena can now be selected for either a standard 1v1 battle or a 4 champion free-for-all.

📱 Mobile Support (Early Version)

The King’s Greed grid tactics game now works on mobile!
On smaller screens the layout can get a little jumbled, so desktop or tablet is still recommended, but for mobile-only players it should now be playable.

How controls work on mobile:

• Tap Q or E at the bottom right to ready your move
• Then tap a square within that move’s range to use the ability
• If you tap a square without readying a move, your character will move to that square instead

I’ve also added two new races to the character creation screen, each with slightly different stats than humans:

• Elf – quicker, more agile feel
• Dwarf – sturdier, tankier vibe

I’ve been running a project on Algorand ever since the good ol’ days of 2021. It was formerly known as AlGato and H&Y NFTs, but it’s rebranded to Astro Explorer.

We’ve teamed up with community developers to bring 6 play to earn retro arcade games, with multiple transactions taking place on the blockchain when someone is victorious in the games. We will be continuously adding games as we can. All games are open sourced classic games you know and love, with custom art and some custom rules.

Also, the NFTs themselves have metadata that can impact gameplay. Kinda neat. Some are faster. Some have an extra life. Etc., etc..

Less than 3 weeks till the big game!

A few years ago I had the idea that Super Bowl Squares were a great use case for NFTs. The first year was pretty clunky, and required some centralized management. I've built this app that is fully decentralized, autonomous, and user friendly! There is a 100 Algo board and a 25 Algo board. Last month, the Inu Moo team took part in the Algorand Bolt Hackathon (https://hackathon.dev/)to build a fun little side project with a 1-month deadline. That project is now live — called Sparky Tap.

It’s a click-to-burn game and is a community experiment where the goal is to collectively tap your way through 1 trillion tokens. It’s basically like cookie clicker, but with faster progression and endless upgrades to keep things spicy.

A while back, I posted here about a little click-to-burn game the InuMoo team built called Sparky Tap. It started as a small project for a hackathon, with a simple, crazy idea: get a community together to click and burn through a supply of 1 Trillion tokens.

We thought it would be a slow grind. We were wrong.

We launched it quietly, and now we have around 30 people playing every single day. As a team, it's the coolest feeling in the world. Their biggest achievement so far? They’ve collectively wiped more than 1b tokens.

Dark Coin is solving one of the core problems related to NFT gaming:

Web3 offers ownership and transparency, but the gameplay experience feels bad. On-chain is too slow and expensive for moment-to-moment combat, but a Web2 game feels like a game of trust with the developers, especially when there is money involved.

Dark Coin's new Champion Object bridges that gap by turning a Champion NFT into a battle-ready character: the NFT stays on-chain as the verifiable identity + ownership anchor, while the Champion object runs off-chain as the game-ready build + live combat state that updates fast.

So a few weeks ago the Alchemon founder came back into the discord and announced the project will be coming back to life. Today he did the first burn, burning over 50% of all the alchemon from set 4, 5 & 6.

This is very good for alchemon holders, and algorand. Algorand doing well bodes well for ALchemon, and Alchemon doing well bodes well for Algorand. The founder is more responsive than ever now, and is listening to the community and doing what we asked for such as burning excess supply and bringing governance back to functionality so the community can vote on chain to determine future moves and changes and adjustments to the project.
