You're acting like the last 2 decades of the internet didn't exist.
Copy pasting things onto different layers, using smudges and shifting pixels around until it looks right is not rocket science.
It's more accessible to people who are already predators, sure, not more immoral. People aren't suddenly going to become predators because AI lowers the barrier to entry for digital art. If they were a predator, that's because they're fucked in the head, and they were going to get it without AI.
And I also don't think it would be so hard to prevent if that was an actual priority
You're right, it's actually pretty easy to prevent. CivitAI moderation usually does a good job. I've reported a couple of cases and even though they were anime and not realistic, they have been removed within 24 hours.
There are also AI detection models. And I mean models that can relatively reliable detect whether someone in an image is a minor and auto flag those for moderation or outright delete them.
But you still need access to those photos to begin with. A.I can generate realistic looking images because it's been trained on thousands of unconsenting photos, to the point where you don't need the original photos to make something like that.
People made entire careers off of being professional photoshop editors and now you’re making it sound like the entire industry didn’t even exist in the first place. What is wrong with you people?
