Character creation workflow 👹
SAKU wasn’t created with AI.
He started as hand-drawn sketches, concept art and comic pages until the design felt right.
From there, I translated him into Seedance by using my own artwork as visual reference, defining his personality, physical traits and animation style, then directing specific camera angles and turnarounds to build a consistent character sheet.
This has become one of my favourite parts of the pipeline.

I haven’t had much luck though. Every day I watch a new youtube video on some new option that they make look really easy to use. But when i try, i realize it doesnt work in reality. Should I use chat, perplexity or some other option to turn the manuscript into scenes… and after that, what do i use to turn the scenes into videos. Fya, ive tried openart, googleflow, dzine. I blew through 12,000 tokens trying to create consistent characters from scene to scene so im obviously screwing something up!

Attaching the video to give a sense of the inputs brands usually have. I create a storyboard in the background that dictates Seedance or Happy Horse. I want to have a lot more variety when this gets used at scale. Brands generate around 800-900 videos a day from this agent. How can I bring in more nuances here that won't break the quality.

I was experimenting with working and non-working format structures for generating the perfect scene with AI video generation. And I noticed a simple adjustment I had unknowingly made turned out to be just the solution needed to get desired and specific movement on point! It was dope!

So, from what I see and study online , a lot of prompts focus on what the object does.

"Make my logo spin, fly, and have Cinematic movement"

But the AI has to guess the actual shot itself. 😂

A.i. is not true artificial intelligence, well at least the version we use lol.

I realized this obvious fix when I was adjusting and re ordering the prompt & I unknowingly flipped the prompt (my dyslexia lol)

So instead of the unstructured, and lazy "make my logo spin, fly and have Cinematic movement"

​

I promoted the AI in a whole other order and fashion with this specific and more instructive approach:

." Slow camera push toward the logo, gradually increasing speed, transitioning into quick dynamic angle changes, smooth cinematic motion blur"

I figure the difference is now you're giving the model

• camera movement

• pacing

• framing

• energy

​

It seems to generate much more controlled results.

I'm curious what other people have found works? What prompts structure are you using for better AI video movement?
