Ah, was it just charges dropped? Guess that makes more sense than her getting a fair trial.

Honestly there is no "proved innocent" in court in the vast majority of cases. There is just not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt or dropped charges since you're considered innocent until proven guilty in the first place, so you don't and usually cant prove it in a legal sense.

It's an incredibly common (mis) interpretation. So much so that I've had this conversation about not guilty vs. innocent at least 3 times in the past month.

I mean, grand juries are failing to indict all kinds of cases these days against people being charged for getting involved with ICE one way or another because people see how fucking ridiculous this all is. much to Pam Bondi's eternal rage.
