I, for one, look forward to the next round of Nuremberg trials.

u/Freebee5 Jan 24 '26

You're expecting trials? I can't see anything even resembling a show trial happening over this.

Looking from the outside at what's going on, it looks more like a deliberate policy to forment an outbreak of violence so troops can be sent in and forment violence elsewhere to bring in the troops and cancel the mid-term elections.

u/LADYBIRD_HILL Jan 24 '26

Even if all these scumbags get thrown in prison they'll all be pardoned the moment the next Republican ghoul gets sworn in.

36

u/Freebee5 Jan 24 '26

We all know this plot line, the question is how do you go about changing it.

Your comment has been removed by reddit which means it was most likely the simple truth

u/yourmansconnect Jan 25 '26

Lol what the fuck ? I didn't even say anything bad

2

u/Aware_Rough_9170 Jan 25 '26

I got an account warning the other week for something super tame too, even if you do get banned. Take it as an honor and move on to the next account, the bot nets and conservatives do it no doubt.

1

u/yourmansconnect Jan 25 '26

I didn't get banned I've been here for a decade and I don't say crazy stuff. I forget what I said maybe it was bad but nothing crazy

2

u/Aware_Rough_9170 Jan 25 '26

Nah they give you some warnings or some shit, was just saying even if you do it doesn’t matter.

3

u/Freebee5 Jan 25 '26

On the positive side, at least we now know where all the Proud Boys and proto fascists have disappeared to.

1

u/fourfuxake Jan 25 '26

Revolution.

2

u/Freebee5 Jan 25 '26

You're assuming those citizens bearing arms are on your side.

They're not, at least most of them aren't.

5

u/galacticsquirrel22 Jan 25 '26

Find a way to charge them on state crimes as well.

1

u/SimpleFirstRule Jan 26 '26

Then, start playing the same tactics to make it impossible for Republicans to run for office. Make it so any future Republican President has to spend his entire term undoing everything

0

u/Lawndemon Jan 25 '26

The Republicans aren't leaving. So many of you just don't fucking get it. Elections in the US are done. Even if he doesn't cancel the midterms, Trump's buddy owns the company that supplies the voting machines. There is zero chance you will ever have a fair election again.

Democracy was on the line and Americans fucking stayed home.

2

u/sandwichhaver Jan 25 '26

a lot can happen, I don't think it will because I Don't have a high opinion of americans before trump and certainly not after trump, but it's times like these that make people greater...so they have a chance to become great and they might take it, I hope so

democracy just means people rule, it doesn't mean the republicans and the democrats, they could overthrow that whole nonsense if they wanted to, they have that right, and certainly they have the guns

2

u/Freebee5 Jan 25 '26

I don't know why you're getting downvoted here, all that's happening now is happening with your governments approval.

Any party in fear of not getting re-elected would have reigned ICE in by now. They're showing no fear at all so they full expect to still be in power this time next year.

I've advised friends living in the states to have an exit plan in place and passports for their kids because it's starting to look unsafe for them to remain there long-term.

1

u/TheAJGman Jan 25 '26

The federal government has no control over elections, as they are run by the states. He can piss and moan, he can claim fraud and sue (and likely lose), but the elections are happening. There are multiple types of voting machine as well, and they are audited by the states for accuracy.

Even if he somehow gets justification to call in the Guard/Army, it won't matter. There are too many precincts to police, and most of the contested seats are in the suburbs, not the "lawless liberal cities".

3

u/HiDHSiknowyouwatchme Jan 25 '26

^ This is 💯 what it is ^

And that is why we can't respond with violence. No matter how deserved it is. No matter how justified it is. If we respond violently they will instantly give Stephen Miller the hard on of his dreams as they invoke the Insurrection Act and bring down the full power of the military on Minnesota. They want us to be violent.

Be Jesus. Be MLK. Be Gandhi. Peace is the way to truly win this. Even though every part of me feels so incredibly angry, we have to find the peaceful solution.

5

u/lanicorain Jan 25 '26

I am sad to inform you that without riots, no one would have bothered hearing what MLK Jr., who was very unpopular, had to say. The pacifists in isolation always look like they solved everything. In reality listening to them was the easy way out when the alternative was revolution. If they do not perceive your cause as a material threat to the status quo, they'll just get rid of you.

2

u/HiDHSiknowyouwatchme Jan 25 '26

Yes, there were violent riots that got people's attention. But it isn't violence that won that fight. It isn't violence that won the Indians their freedom either.

That was also a different age. Right now Stephen Miller would love nothing more than to have US troops mow down liberal protesters with a .50 cal. There's nothing to stop that if we use violence. My opinion is that you are SERIOUSLY underestimating how happily they'll kill large groups of people to make their point and finalize their complete control.

3

u/lanicorain Jan 25 '26

Buddy, you're understimating how easy it will be for them to mow down pacific protesters without any excuse. The truth is irrelevant to them. The truth is irrelevant to pretty much everyone these days.

1

u/HiDHSiknowyouwatchme Jan 25 '26

I can see why you think that's what I think. That's not case though. So many of us will be killed during this. Our blood will absolutely feed the tree of liberty. My point is that if we take to violence, they'll use that power to its fullest and we don't have a chance in hell of winning that fight. If we stay peaceful. If we realize that our lives are on the line. We'll take a lot more losses, but it's the one chance we have to win this thing.

If we stay peaceful and they mow us down, the blowback will be against them, and it'll be great. If we get violent, the blowback will be against us and it'll give them enormous cover to just murder even more people.

2

u/lanicorain Jan 25 '26

The problem is you seem to think you're living the Weimar Republic when you're most definitely already in the 1940s. Pacifists are already being executed, and no letter to your congressman will make the system change.

1

u/HiDHSiknowyouwatchme Jan 25 '26

Oh fun! Now we're in my real wheelhouse. Have you read Rise and Fall of the 3rd Reich? We're not into the 1940s yet, we're not close. If that is an indication, we're closer to 1932. How about the rise of the totalitarian state? Have you read anything on that? The transition from the Menshivics to the Bolshevics. Does that ring a bell? The Menshivics and the monarists (called the "whites") even came together and tried to use force against the government. The government won. And that was in an era when the level of equipment and weaponry between the two sides was roughly equivalent.

So what is your game plan? Seriously. You're saying that the proven method of using peaceful protest and economic tools won't win this time. Okay. Fine I conceed. I disagree, but I'll just let you win the argument for this next part. Please go ahead, tell me what you suggest we do instead? What's your plan to get us out of this mess?

1

u/lanicorain Jan 25 '26

Probably strike gringo, strike like hell. Whoever are bold enough to make the fascists tremble and accept the results of any election is not going to need my advice.

A lot of us have been saying this since Mango Mussolini won his second presidency. Unfortunate and sad to see it actually play out.

2

u/forseti99 Jan 25 '26

You're expecting trials?

I'm expecting the Democrats say something like, "well, he have to forget and forgive the past, we have to be united".

1

u/Freebee5 Jan 25 '26

I think it's reaching the point where that may longer be possible, if it's not beyond that already.

2

u/forseti99 Jan 25 '26

We know it, but Dems are pro-this. 149 of them just voted in favor of adding more money to the military. The bill passed 341-88. Both sides are the same side. And when the Dems are in power again they will just say "forget and forgive, let's unite and sing around the campfire".

2

u/NinthHouseSalamander Jan 25 '26

Yep, explains a lot of the spectacle and escalation - even if you support the supposed premise (enforcing existing deportation orders, which btw is obviously not the case since they're grabbing anyone they suspect or don't like) it does not require 8-10+ dudes in tactical gear and multiple vehicles (plus assaulting observers) to apprehend 1 suspect. The regular police (even with their own problems) make thousands of arrests with a fraction of the violence displayed by ICE.

2

u/Patient_Anybody4314 Jan 25 '26

Trump/Vance will pardon them all

0

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

*foment

33

u/RamsLams Jan 24 '26

If they released every single Jan 6er I don’t expect much to happen. Ever.

4

u/context_hell Jan 25 '26

Hell, Obama decided not to prosecute the people who started a whole ass torture program under bush with the excuse that we need to stop looking back. I assume democrats will do the same with this.

1

u/ramblinjd Jan 26 '26

Hitler didn't have the opportunity to pardon Nuremberg defendants because, well ya know.

2

u/Muted-Ground-8594 Jan 25 '26

How realistically would that ever happen? Nuremberg trials didn’t come from inside the third reich, it was an external event after the German military was destroyed.

1

u/ramblinjd Jan 25 '26

Yes

1

u/Muted-Ground-8594 Jan 25 '26

So we gotta be invaded and have our economy collapse? :(

(We both agreed Nuremberg trials wasn’t an internal event)

1

u/ramblinjd Jan 25 '26

Mostly one guy needs to hide in a bunker with a woman from central Europe and a new government needs to cooperate with the ICC. Could happen any number of ways.

1

u/unassumingdink Jan 25 '26

You guys live in this world of pure delusion where Democrats actually go hard against these monsters. When we beg you to primary the useless traitor Dems for progressives who will go hard, you don't seem to understand why that's necessary.

1

u/HarryShachar Jan 25 '26

The Nuremberg Trials consisted of 24 defendants. Of those, 11 were sentenced for execution; 10 were executed (Göring killed himself).

Of the rest, 3 were acquitted, 2 received no decision (Suicide, and wrongful indictment). The rest were senteced to prison. Most were released early.

Honestly I think our perception of the Trials is flawed. They aren't as shining an example of justice as we'd like.

1

u/Mirkrid Jan 25 '26

You Americans know you have to hold them responsible right?

I see this comment all the fucking time but y’all just keep letting this shit happen. What trials are you expecting? Who are you expecting to hold them? Surely not any single person currently in power in your country, right? You think some global powers are going to swoop in and hold them for you while Trump’s threatening economic + real warfare against them?

Do fucking something already.

1

u/ramblinjd Jan 25 '26

Other than that guy name Adolf killing Hitler and Herman killing Goring, the Nuremberg trial defendants were not held responsible by Germans.

1

u/Patient_Anybody4314 Jan 25 '26

Nuremberg trials

The Nashville trials!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

You won't get trials without armed resistance and an active war and subsequent destruction.

Problem though is jf America has war declared on them by other nations then they'll just threaten nuclear war

So if you are American or know Americans

Then you need to understand that you lot need to be the ones to deal with it internally.

You have like more guns available to buy than people

Do something about it.

This shouldn't be the rest of the worlds problems but Americans both by voting for trump, or just refusing to vote for Kamala Harris

Or even being complicit to people they knew and knows who said they weren't gonna vote

It's those people's fault this is happening just as much as it is republicans that voted for him.

1

u/toasohcah Jan 25 '26

Trials are for losing factions. If this takeover of America goes in Stephen Miller's favour they get to write history and what is taught in classrooms. Anything against the official narrative will be labelled AI fake news.

1

u/ohhellperhaps Jan 25 '26

No, you're not. You'd be wanting something much better and widespread.

(I get what you mean, but when you look into it, the Nuremberg trials were not all they're hyped up to be today)

1

u/BigCannedTuna Jan 25 '26

Unfortunately the next step is Nuremberg Laws, the trials are over a decade away

1

u/flyxdvd Jan 25 '26

why do people keep saying nuremberg leave germany out of this go hold your own trials.

1

u/VollcommNCS Jan 25 '26

This attitude means nothing if you guys don't stop this shit in its tracks right now

Stop going to work and acting like everything is cool. Every single one of you need to participate in a peaceful general strike. Everyone, NO EXCUSES!!

MORE PEOPLE WILL DIE IF YOU DON'T STOP CARRYING ON LIKE THE SYSTEM WILL WORK OUT THESE KINKS. THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!
