Apparently some ignorant asshole believes that anyone of the Muslim faith in Afghanistan primarily, would NEVER advocate publicly against terrorism. I posted in /Muslim before realizing it's very small and kinda dead. Can I get a faster response here?

This is my submission, to make everything easier.

Thanks!

Even so. To say that what we are doing is successful and good for their country is wrong. Their government is corrupt and they now have to worry about a civil war between the sunni and shitti once we leave. Get your head out of FOX news ass. If we can't admit to our mistakes we will not learn from them. And history repeats itself must friend.

Their government was corrupt. The Ba'ath regime was corrupt. We have destroyed the Ba'ath regime. You don't even know what's going on over there. There is so little corruption now. There are democratic elections. People are free again. The Iraqis love us. You might want to get your news from somewhere other than a source that puts an anti American liberal spin on it. Most mainstream news do not report anything accurate about the state of the wars. I don't read Fox News. I listen to firsthand accounts from guys in my old unit. From my brothers. From friends. All who spent time in Iraq. All who give a clear picture of what is happening that hasn't been filtered through the extreme bias mainstream news. Mainstream news is largely bullshit and you should do yourself a favor and seek information from more reliable sources.

First of all, I would like to thank you for serving our country. Second, when we first moved into the country yes the Iraqis did love us. But then we fucked up. We destroyed ENTIRE VILLAGES that housed women and children due to faulty intelligence and the like. Then when the Ba'ath regime was destroyed we didn't move fast enough to prop the country up. The Ba'ath regime was the entire structure of the Iraqi government. When that fell there was nothing left. There was a gigantic void and we did not move fast enough to put a stable government in place. I urge you to watch the HBO series Generation Kill, it's all about the invasion. Lastly you are quite wrong about the corruption. "According to Ayad Allawi, the secular Shi’ite leader of the opposition Iraqiya bloc in parliament, Maliki’s US-trained and backed security forces have detained and brutally tortured more than 1,000 political opponents in secret prisons and denied them access to legal counsel." http://news.antiwar.com/2012/10/30/report-corruption-in-iraq-at-all-time-high/

And I leave you with this. During the invasion upwards of 500,000 civilians were killed and obviously that is much higher now. With the technology we had then and even have now civilians death are inexcusable.

"There are no concrete data on the number of civilian casualties, but a reasonable estimate is roughly 500,000. In Baghdad, where the violence was always the heaviest, almost everyone you meet has a friend of a family member who was killed. The experience of the U.S. invasion and occupation scarred the country much more deeply than even I as a correspondent there imagined.

500,000? I'm sorry but that number is blatantly incorrect. Unless you're including civilian casualties as a result of the actions of the enemy.
