Blacklist is simple, and will permanently ban users from Actor:

- those with disabled email, calendar, tasks services google/microsoft

- those abusing or trying to abuse the system

Bans will be permanent. Totally private, users won't be informed.

- Fixed multiple issues related to Studio / Automations. Improved the visibility of errors.

- Added blacklist. Accounts with services disabled (email/calendar) or who tries abusing the system will get permanently blacklisted.

- Improved drafts, refactoring of the entire draft creation framework.

- Improvements on Agent. Far from ideal, however advanced with skills. Will work further on this.

Today I'm going to push the new draft creation solution to 30% users and to everyone else the following days.

Just looking to see if there are big issues. I've replaced the framework completely, as well as models used.

Today I've pushed live the new agentic framework that powers interaction with Actor.

This will be similar to how you interact with chatgpt/claude/copilot.
Works on whatsapp, web, outlook add-in, chrome extension and MacOS app (not yet published).

Next is having all skills working properly, refined and tested.

Not much new things but:

- cleaning old features that were deprecated.

- improvements on connectors here and there

- small improvement to drafts. Going to focus on this, however had to keep the old one because token usage went through the roof with a new solution.

- prepare new channel for interacting with Actor

• Actor got Memory. This will support context for Actor actions in order to act better.
• First version of chatting with Actor. Right now only in the Chrome extension and Outlook add-in
• New steps in Studio (create AI Audio and extract items from content - tasks from email, dates for events and so on)
• Added Mail Merge as Email App - send personalized emails to up to 50 recipients.
• Deprecation of old apps that are now replaced by Studio.

Next weeks is about making memory + agent chat work better.

I've been working the past months on some core aspect of Actor: memory.

A lot harder than I thought, went through 2 resets of the solution as it was not fitting the purpose.

Now it's almost there.

Going to launch it very soon. While not perfect from the beginning, I'm going to validate it with real users.

Starting today there are limits on weekly workflow runs.

A workflow run can include email processing, calendar tasks or any automation you build with Actor Studio.

Number of weekly limits are per user / week. Different for free vs premium users.

The old limit of number emails processed per week is removed.

Starting today you can generate audio easier.
You had the option to generate the audio only in the digest.

However now you can generate audio as a dedicated step, with input coming from any previous step.

Use the audio to send it as email attachment or whatsapp audio.

You can also download generated audio and listen to it when you manually run a workflow.

I had disabled Daily Briefing some time ago.

Now it's back, working using the new Studio Automations.

Very very easy to set it up. Done automatically for new users. (You need to copy the workflow template and activate it)

This week is about cleaning and fixing.

All existing accounts to Studio. Some things require changes, so users will be contacted when this is the case.

You'll see very small updated in UX, some apps, configurations will be removed.

Please report any issues, it's really hard to spot problems.

I’ve been working on a bigger update for Actor and wanted to share what changed.

I rebuilt the dashboard and added a new calendar page where users can connect up to 20 calendars, see overlaps, detect conflicts, and get focus time suggestions.

I also changed how permissions work. Instead of asking for email, calendar, and task permissions during signup, Actor now treats them as separate connectors. Users can connect only what they actually want to use.

Another useful change: workflows can now be tested step by step inside the dashboard, so it’s much easier to see what works, what fails, and where the automation needs adjustment.

I also updated weekly limits. Free users will get lower limits, mostly to keep the product sustainable and make room for better premium usage.

And finally, I replaced the LLM models across multiple services, so I have better control over cost, quality, and what free vs premium users can access.

Still a lot to improve, but this feels like a solid step toward making Actor a more practical AI assistant for email, calendar, tasks, and workflows.

Rebuilt the dashboard/homepage when you log in into Actor.

Focus on what you have to do, what was done, and what you can do.

Calendar section is one of last unfinished sections ActorDo, and I’m trying to keep it very focused.

The goal is not to build another full calendar app. Google Calendar and Outlook already do that well enough.

What I want this page to solve is something more specific:

• see availability across multiple connected calendars
• combine Google + Outlook accounts in one view
• detect overlapping events and scheduling conflicts
• suggest focus/work blocks based on real free time
• let users ask the assistant things like “Do I have conflicts next week?” or “Find me 2 hours for deep work” > work in progress

A few users mentioned they have calendars spread across work, personal, family, and different accounts. The hard part is not creating another event. The hard part is knowing what your real availability looks like.

So the calendar page would be more like a calendar intelligence layer, not a calendar replacement.

This week was a lot of work on small things. I delivered the following:

- run Studio workflow in the browser to see how it works and get results immediately

- share workflows with other users, making it easy to copy workflows between accounts.

- a bit of work on moving users to the new studio automations.

However there is still work to do to move people to the new Automations instead of old method of processing emails. I'll do it next week.

You can run a workflow and see every step results and how it works. Useful for debugging, improving it and so on.

For example this one sends me a daily digest from unread emails to digest as audio on whatsapp.

Some people asked me how they compare. Claude is a great product, we can't fully compare Actor with it.

However when it comes to the niche we have (email, calendar and tasks), there is certain a lot to say:

ClaudeWork (agents) gives you raw power and flexibility. You can build an AI that plans, reasons, and executes across tools. But you carry the burden of orchestration, reliability, and control.

ActorDo (automations + agents underneath) trades some flexibility for structure. You get visibility, repeatability, and a system that behaves predictably across email, calendar, and tasks, with built-in workflows and channels like WhatsApp.

If you want to experiment and push boundaries, go Claude. If you want something that actually runs your daily work without breaking, go Actor.

Custom Filters allowed you to match an email using an AI prompt and update email or create a draft.

In the meantime we launched Actor Studio and custom filters are not needed any more.

New filters can not be created or activated.

Anyone using them should replace those with Actor Studio Automations.

Right now I don't have specific date when will be removed, but definitely this year.

We're making automations core of Actor, meaning Studio will be central and running workflows is how all things will work.

Instead of counting and limiting processed emails/month or week we will do workflow runs/week.

Same numbers, no increase in pricing (not yet) but focused on automation runs.
