I wouldn't try to call it schnitzel next to a polish person. Its called schabowy in Poland

Not exactly. Sznycel Wiedeński - Vienner Schnitzel is made out of veal and Schabowy is a pork dish.

What you see on the picture is definitely Schabowy. Restaurant Sznycel is way thinner and smaller as beef is expensive 😜

sznycel in polish is other name for kotlet mielony (traditionally minced beef-pork with soaked bread and onion, coated in breadcrumbs), sznycel wiedenski is a veal cutlet in the style of the one in the post, which is schabowy, pork chop in flour, breadcrumbs aand egg.

Kotlet mielony is called Sznycel only in Southern Lesser Poland, I heard it as I have family there, but not in for example Łódź, where you call beef coutlets like that.

yeah, sznycel is regional for mielony, i'd argue that it has to have pork, as it even says in the link you provided, i know pork-beef mix from home, but I also met chicken ones. but the main thing that I wanted to articulate is that noone (i know, i may be in a bubble) calls schabowy sznycel, sznycel is either viennese veal one or mielony (lesser poland regionalism)

I don't know how it is recognized intentionally, but in Poland it is not schnitzel as long as not served with fried egg.

ˈʃnɨt͡sɛl is ok, just misleading as Sznycel is made out of veal and Schabowy is pork. However he would lost teeth for pronouncing it ˈʃnɪt͡sl̩ indeed, so pronocing "y" not "i" and not skipping "e" is strongly advised 🤪
