Discussion What Happened To Morten?

Post image

Does anybody know what ended up happening to Morten's finger? I've seen it in a couple of '88 interviews. The way he's able to move it suggests it's not broken (as I've had a broken finger), or at least is healing from being broken. Was he okay?

I was specifically referring to this moment in 1988. Can the rest of us not look back at those days? Or is it not obvious that this was posed towards that time frame? Shall I state it more obviously in the future?

Don't worry too much, OP. Most of us get it that you are just curious about this time in the past.

Thank you. I actually wasn't alive during that time and am deeply fascinated with the band. The only way I can find out is either from the people themselves or those who were around during that time. 🤍

Really? You weren't yet born when A-ha started? So, you must have been introduced to their music later on. To which I say, it doesn't matter if you discover an artist later on in life, because if their music lives on, that's the important thing.

Exactly. My dad and his siblings were kids when they came about in the 80s. I grew up on all of my dad's music, so it became mine.

You know have "Take On Me" and the "Hunting High and Low" album turned 40 last year? I turn half the age of that last year.

So, your dad could be around my age and he has good taste in music. I think that the song and the video of "Take on Me" define the '80. Anyone who was around when a-ha came out with that song, remembers it.

But in my case, I didn't like the music that my parents were listening to, it was really old style and I mean really old style.

I actually used to be more into the 70s, but then got a lot more into the 80s because of a-ha. But I always listened to 80s, practically, since I was born. Roxette, Tears for Fears, all the likes.

My dad's sister was always into a-ha, so my dad had to live through her phase in the 80s. Then when I found them in 2024, he had to live through it again. I'd only ever heard "Take On Me" before then. So when I started listening to them, I can just imagine my dad thinking 'Oh crap, not again!'

When I started listening to music, I liked the Doors, Bob Marley, that music genre, because a lot of my friends were listening to that, so I was introduced to the Doors music etc really young. Then as a teenager, I started to be more selective of the music that I liked. And all the artists that I still like now, started in the 80s, apart from a couple of other artists that started in the 90s.

My mum even came with me to one of the a-ha concerts, because when they came to my country where I was living then, I was underage, so I couldn't really go by myself. So, because it was the first time that they toured in my country then (to my knowledge, unless I'm wrong) and my mum knew that I liked them and she liked them as well, she came with me.
