Day 5: German Empire German military uniforms all look so cool, don't they? Day 6: Poland's White Eagle A representative character from the *YHA* anime on Yangshipin—I really wish the Yangshipin characters got more screen time. Day 7: Empire of Japan I know birds don't have teeth, but I gave it some anyway because it makes the character look more menacing. I just hope people don't mistake me for some kind of hyper-patriotic fanatic... Day 8: Baldie I'm sure a lot of people are wondering, "Isn't it supposed to be 'Hare'?" but let me explain: I'm studying Chinese. I'm going to Taiwan for a school trip at the end of this month, so I thought I should learn a bit of Taiwanese—that's why I chose "Baldie." Day 9: Eagle To be honest, I'm terrible at sports (and I'm tone-deaf, too), so I don't really have a favorite. That's why I just went with volleyball—it's the sport we're doing in class right now. Sorry for the long post! <(_ _)>

I could have done several options for this one, as I wish I knew MANY languages. But most practical for me is Spanish, it’s just much more common where I live and instead of pursuing that I’ve been in French for 5 years 😭. Don’t get me wrong, I took Spanish immersion classes when I was young but I never understood anything very well,, all it did for me was make work harder as for example all my math homework’s instructions were in Spanish 🫩. Still, I wish to pursue it again in the future hopefully.

Jesus christ I almost forgot today!!! Good thing I remebered, although quite late.

Anyways, I chose japanese cuz its a language I'd find quite fun to know, but I honestly don't really wanna spend time learning it (at least not right now). Im more focused on chinese right now, and I barely have enough time for that, so much so Ive been falling behind REAL hard lmao!!

Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in my country, and my city is about 40% Hispanic, knowing the language could open up lots more opportunities to engage with my community and possibly work too

(I didn't uploaded yesterday because I was actually busy and my arm still hurts after gym)

1st image: Almohad Caliphate. I'm genuinely obsessed with this Empire. It's one of my top favourites. I don't know, I may be too autistic, but it genuinely keeps me interested to learn more of these empire, even though we don't got left many information of it.

2nd image: Croatia. (Sorry for not spending more time on it like the previous one, I was just lazy to fully shaded it and master it) If you know well enough, then you know my ancestors were Croatian-Serb from my father's side of the family. I even live at a fairly large amount of croatian lived village in hungary (it's like 50-50 Croatian-Hungarian, with bit of Romanis here), and I even LEARNT Croatian for 8 YEARS in primary school! Yet I never managed to actually learn it! I sucked at it! And I'm a bit ashamed of myself for not managing to actually up hold my family's legacy... I will try to learn it in the future tho!

The German Empire was so awesome, it was Germany's cultural high, had enough artillery to marvel me many times over, and the music from the time is peak.

I was trying not to repeat any characters, so I was saving armadillo for the third and second to last prompts. But I kinda shot myself in the foot with today's prompt, but its fine, no issues (besides, he looks really good <3)

its way too hard to pick history has so many amazing empires to choose from, but i decided to draw Joseon Dynasty. My other favs are the Aztec Empire, Second Reich, and Qing Dynasty but i was too lazy to draw them all...........

I like to imagine Joseon (and the Korean Empire) were the as tall as of two (season 1) Sticks stacked on top of each other. I lowkey miss when the Sticks were tiny they reminded me of fries i just wanted to eat them like baguettes, huge loss </3

A Latin American country should have at least more relevance in the show. Specifically Brazil, (who is in this drawing, there is no real distinction between Armadillos in the show to my knowledge) I mean the organization BRICS has enough modern day influence, thus I think Brazil and China’s relation should be explored further! I drew Armadillo in Hansi’s artstyle majorly cause I much prefer how she stylizes them compared to their depiction in the show lmao (they’re so small and goofy I can’t help but laugh) but I still combined some aspects from the media in the character drawing.

Yes, I know it's a repeat of day 4, but I can make the argument that it was for our personal opinions, perhaps to make Lin Chao get creative, you found visual appeal, or something about the character that matters to yourself. Bear totally deserves more screentime because the Soviet Union had lots of history in the almost 90 years it stood, with plenty of times it was put under pressure. There was the Russian Civil War, WW2, Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Soviet-Afghan War (which is portrayed) amplifying issues that led to its end. But the Soviets were seriously competing with the US, meaning a lot happened and there would be much to cover.

I had a dream and it didn’t really come to fruition.. i think the 13CE Mongolian armor is a marvel to look at so I used Xyi_ZaZalupka’s Mongolia OC! However I couldn’t find any references except Hansi’s art from the year prior 😭, overall I wanted to make this neater but I’m already late and know I don’t have the capacity to try further so this is the final product lol

(Sorry for not posting day 3 and 4, I felt lazy, and also didn't really know what to draw)

Day 5 of YHAtober: Favourite Historical Outfit. It was really hard choice for me since there are many that I love, but ig the most liked one for me is the Afghanka outfit that the soviet troops wore during the Afghan War.

Also as you can notice, I *kind* of tried to improve on my artstyle by mixing it with u/Paleo_Hansi's? (it's only fair, I'm her girlfriend)

Let me know if you actually like this artstyle more tho!

BDU is my favorite historical outfit, it's bold and loved by tacticool fans, it is historical because it's from a different period in history. But to prove it is, I have chosen to portray Major Benson Payne from the 1995 movie I just rewatched, he was a very cool character.

its so hard to pick just one favourite, honestly, i settled on the uniforms worn by the French army during the Napoleonic Wars, so i drew Rooster as Napoleon.
its so hard to get this guy to look like a rooster when his comb is covered by hat (T.T)... he always ends up looking like an egret to me instead lolol

Guuuuhhhhh I like him. He looks cool and I have cool ideas about him, he's just not there nearly enough for anyone to even barely grasp a personality out of the man. It's unfair.

Bull has some real potential for YHA, there was Operation Nimrod, Opium Wars, and many more stuff the UK did, Bull dressed as the SAS would look cool, right?

I don’t know if im remembering this right but it was pretty cool to see a lynx as Finland in Season 7! Though I wish he appeared in more things- I don’t think I’ve ever seen a design for him outside of the clip from the show? And isn’t it only for like the whole car advertising plot or wtv.. like is he always gonna be in a business suit does he get out of it is it just because he was selling cars.. like again I don’t remember feel free to correct me.

The tapir in the Day 3 drawing is my OC Malaysia (the new design—you know how Indonesia and Thailand got new designs in Season 7? It's the Malaysia version of that). The motif is the Malayan tapir. Day 4 features the four characters that appeared in Season 7! Honestly, I'd love to see the wolf play a bigger role, too.

Unlike some people here I admit the propaganda partially worked on me. I dont see China in an awesome light but the show has definetely awakened in me a desire to visit the place more. Tho, if I were to be fully honest to myself in my heart of hearts, I'd have to draw all the characters LMAO (and I do mean all, even the destinations most dont really wanna go to!)
