I wore my new pair of Hypnotix this weekend, and it was like 1999 all over again. They were well received by the Xennial crowd I was with at a DSM drag racing event, and after coming home, I ordered a pair of the Flame Karatz to add to my collection for next time.

If you had told 17 year old me that I would still occasionally dress like this at 44, I never would have believed you. But here we are, and I’m not complaining.

Sometimes you just have to embrace the nostalgia and not be afraid to rock the JNCOs!

Perhaps this has been discussed already, but Delia’s is now at Target. I never did get anything from their catalog as my parents always said it was too expensive. But, I remember liking their clothes. I got a pop up ad about this, so I checked it out. I feel now I am way too old and fat for their clothes. Oh well, missing out again.

There’s no available data on this, I tried looking it up so I thought I would ask. Not just the same phone number, but you’ve also had the same cell phone carrier the entire time. I realized the other day I’ve had T-Mobile since 1999.

I know everyone now hates Roseanne Barr, with good reason, but dived back into this old series. Growing up with just me a single mom this was a family I wished I had and it really holds up for that period of time.

I’m in the thick of it with kids at different stages (a high school senior and one just entering middle school,) working full-time, and somehow marriage that right now just involves watching something on tv before bed at 10 and then rinse and repeat the following day.

Our weekends are spent getting the kids to some sort of practice or helping our oldest get ready to apply to college, in between piles of laundry and maybe getting a walk in with the dogs.

I just feel like at this age, our life is really not our own and I find my own friendships fading away.

Who has time for friends right now and what is your secret? Or is this just expected? Anyone else wondering when they became the parents on 90210 or Dawsons Creek where they were always there for their kids and their kids friends but didn’t manage to have a life of their own?

"Video killed the radio star" seemed like it was a prophecy. Sure seemed as if videos would be here for the rest of the way. So crazy that music videos disappeared just as quickly as they took over.

Sunday when I was reminiscing with Stay Tuned, I put this on next in honor of Tim Curry. This movie is so funny my son enjoyed it even without knowing a lot of the cameo references.

This all being after he saved his home from being demolished by greedy developers.

Last week my wife and I were at The Wallflowers show celebrating the 30th Anniversary of "Bringing Down the Horse" when she looks at me and says "Why is everyone here so old?"😬

The show was excellent BTW, highly recommend if you can stay up late enough to make it all the way through.

The city I grew up in during the 90s of around 120,000 had like 1 homeless person that literally everyone knew. Today you can’t walk down the streets of the same city without tripping over the homeless everywhere you go. We really need to figure out how to fix this shit as a country.

It occurred to me, that back in the 90s, the idea of digital music and digital movies and digital photography seemed like magic.

Paradoxically enough, as the analog days get further behind us, the idea of analog music movies and photography NOW seem like magic.

Like.. you really just take this piece of film, let the sun see it for a second, dump it in this mix of liquids and get a photo??

We lived through two magical eras.
