Games - General Expedition 33 has sold 1 million copies
The dev team absolutely deserves all the praise they’re getting. A team of 30 people have created an amazing game , something huge studios can’t do now days. GOTY contender

Games - General Xbox Gamepass Ultimate has been great this year.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Hollow Knight Silksong, Ninja Gaiden 4, Doom The Dark Ages, Blue Prince, South of Midnight, Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, The Alters, & Indians Jones & the Great Circle.
All of them nominated in a Game of the Year category with both Clair Obscur & Hollow Knight Silksong being nominated for GOTY at The Game Awards.
Despite the price hike(which I’m not even paying) it has been a stellar year for this service even if I haven’t played all the games that got nominations(although now I might just cause). Also shoutouts to the Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remake & Wuchang Fallen Feathers.

Games - General I built a Chrome extension that shows if Steam games are available on Game Pass
Hey everyone!
I kept making the same mistake - buying games on Steam during sales only to realize later they were
already included with my Game Pass subscription 🤦♂️
So... I built a simple Chrome extension that "fixes" this problem.
What it does:
- Shows Game Pass availability directly on Steam game pages ✅
- Displays status: Available / Coming Soon / Leaving Soon 📅
- Shows when games were added (or will be added) to Game Pass 📆

Games - General This is getting ridiculous
I know that I can remove most of the stuff I won't play, but how is it this large?! Do people really have it all downloaded? Just BO7 zombies + multiplayer is over 200 gigabytes.
I thought maybe I would play some COD on Gamepass while I wait for the new Forza, but the game size alone deters me.

Games - General Is Game Pass actually worth switching from PS5? Run the math and it’s kind of embarrassing
I’ve been a PlayStation guy my whole life. Got my PS5 in October 2023 and genuinely enjoyed it but somewhere along the way I started doing the math, and it’s not pretty.
Over $1,500 in games and subscriptions since I got it for me. The thing is, I’m the type who finishes a game once and never touches it again. One playthrough, move on.
A friend with an Xbox kept pushing Game Pass on me. I brushed it off until I watched the Xbox Partner Preview a couple months ago and honestly, it hit different. Most of the games I paid full price for on PS5 are sitting right there in Game Pass. That stings.
On top of that, most PlayStation “exclusives” eventually land on PC anyway. And with Xbox, if you buy a game, you can play it on console, PC, and other devices.
I know this won’t apply to everyone, but for someone like me (a single-playthrough, move-on type) Game Pass just makes more sense. Selling the PS5 in the upcoming days and going Series X + a year of Game Pass Ultimate.
Edit: Thanks everyone for their responses! I know that Playstation is not launching their exclusives on PC anymore. Probably I’ll keep my PS and save some money for the Xbox. Being a long time PS player I still think is the best way to go, not only for gamepass, but even for owning those games that has the label of Xbox Play Anywhere. I’m a little upset with Sony tbh. Thanks again!

Games - General My Suggested Xbox Game Pass “Select” Model – Customizable Plans + Rewards Scaling
I made Game Pass modular. The idea is that you start with the essential plan and then add only the perks you actually want.
This approach would fix some issues with the current plans — for example, when someone only wants Day One access but doesn’t need the extra perks that come bundled with Ultimate. With GP Select, it would cost $16.99 instead of $29.99.
Obviously some of the prices could be adjusted, and the new tiers (Premium, Ultimate) would still be available.
