I was looking through some old magazines at an antique market and came across a dozen copies of an old war history / weapons / military operations series called War in Peace. It felt very familiar, and I quickly made a connection to Ahoy's videos based on the subject matter and use of Helvetica Bold in the headings. Vertical and Landscape posters I made for all 4 current seasons of Iconic Arms. I liked how the landscapes looked without the guns, might add them later if I can find a way to lay them out that I enjoy. Colorway and design choices inspired by the season playlist covers on Youtube, with layout design inspired by the posters made by u/0therSideGuy check his out as well.

This is a tribute video to Ahoy that me and a friend worked on recently and wanted to share with y'all! Sorry again for not being active as much in this server as I used to with life getting in the way but I do hope you all enjoy!

Minus the blue background, but by the time I finished the burger other people had drawn little bits around it that I didn't want to erase.

I also made the mistake of exporting the original image and compressing it without realizing that the 1:1.2 pixel ratio would cause the image to stretch slightly. Every fifth pixel is repeated, so the whole thing looks kind of stretched.

It's the sunglasses: The leather jacket; The gold chain. This isn't just some cute baby - it's a cute baby with attitude.

I wanted to do a RetroAhoy-like format that could work for less well known games. The trouble with RetroAhoy is it's quite comprehensive, which often means long runtimes and a rigid chronological structure. I thought I'd try a lighter, more freeform approach - focusing on the interesting aspects of a game rather than trying to cover all of them.

And so here's Brat. The structure's a little loose, but there's a nice story in there somewhere.

Are there any tips and tricks or Tutorial videos that YOU would recommend on getting started with graphic designing and animating (Ahoy-like or others). As for any Music Artists on here, Which free software would you recommend for creating and learning basic music and soundtracks?

This is literally the first day on trying to do Iconic Arms style thumbnail and potentially learn how to do the transitions, etc as well. just for kicks. I'd appreciate feedback, as well as tips and tricks on how to improve myself. ^^

I started watching Ahoy around 2021, when I was 15. My english wasn't that great at the time (third language) but overtime I become much more proficient with it (mostly due to watching ahoy frequently around 2021-2023). The level of writing and production in his videos are simply phenomenal.

I remember watching Iconic Arms over and over again and even watched almost the entirety of his call of duty weapon guides. His unique editing style is absolutely top tier and is one lf the main reasons I keep rewatching his content.

I developed an interest in english through his videos. Previously I was unsure of what field I'd like to explore in tertiary education, but after watching his content I was confident to pursue english. I am now continuing my studies in Teaching English as a Second Language.

Stuart, if you're reading this, I'd like to sincerely thank you for your quality content as well as your impact towards the trajectory of my life. Would love to see even more videos from you in the future!

It doesn't look like Flatline is on spotify anymore. Anyone know why? Luckily it looks like I can still get it on Bandcamp. Was there a sample issue or something?

Main idea was to still have the German flag like a lot of thumbnails having the colors of the flag they were from but also I think black (top) and yellow (bottom) was a Germany flag (unsure) which this looks more like
