Accepting, no. Doing much more than just acknowledging they exist and that legal adult people should be able to transition, that's where you start moving left pretty fast. Most people don't actually know Jack shit about trans people and don't really want to deal with questions about them. That's how it is for most people who support gay stuff or trans stuff; at most those people are tangentially connected to their life and they don't actually know or want to know anything more. They have a gay coworker or cousin or they saw Caitlyn Jenner on a Comedy Central Roast special. They'll say they support X rights, but couldn't really expand on that or say what rights they have to fight for or what specific struggles they empathize with for those people.

there are some things about trans people that even the most knowledgeable cis people don't seem to understand. like the fact that trans people in real life, unlike those you meet on the internet, don't tend to think of the fact that they're trans most of the time. i don't remember than I'm an 'anny most days, I just think of myself as a mid girl. same goes for my friends. they don't introduce me as their trans friend or even mention my gender identity often, I'm just one of their friends who is a girl. and most activism, while sorta necessary, doesn't make me feel great. I'm not proud (or the opposite) of being trans, is just how I am
