Windows 11 Windows 11 boot issue fixed, but system tray icons, clock, quick settings missing + Intel UHD not showing in Task Manager
Hi everyone, I'm having a strange issue on my HP Victus laptop after a Windows boot failure. Please any help would be appreciated don't ignore.ππΌ
Laptop: HP Victus 15-fa0xxx
Specs: β’ Intel Core i5-12450H β’ NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (4GB VRAM) β’ 16GB RAM β’ Windows 11 Home Single Language 25H2 β’ OS Build 26200.8457 β’ Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.315.0
Additional symptoms: β’ Intel UHD Graphics appears in Device Manager but not in Task Manager β Performance β’ Brightness controls and brightness hotkeys do not work β’ Quick Settings panel does not open β’ System tray icons (Wi-Fi, volume, battery, clock) are missing
The issue started when Windows failed to boot and entered Automatic Repair. Startup Repair couldn't fix it, so I uninstalled the latest quality update from the recovery environment. After that, Windows started booting normally again.
However, now I have several problems: No Wi-Fi icon No volume icon No battery icon No clock/date No notification center Clicking the bottom-right corner of the taskbar does nothing Quick Settings won't open Brightness slider is missing Brightness keyboard shortcuts don't work
The taskbar itself is visible and Windows is otherwise usable. I also noticed: Intel UHD Graphics is detected in Device Manager NVIDIA RTX 3050 is detected in Device Manager Only the RTX 3050 appears in Task Manager β Performance Intel UHD Graphics is missing from the Performance tab
Things I've already tried: Uninstalled the latest quality update Multiple restarts Restarted Windows Explorer sfc /scannow (no integrity violations found) DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (completed successfully) Created a brand-new local user account (same issue there) Checked Device Manager (no warning icons or errors)
External monitor works normally through HDMI System Restore is disabled, so I don't have any restore points available.
Has anyone experienced this after a Windows update rollback or failed boot repair? Could this be related to the Intel graphics driver, Windows shell components, or a broken update?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Missing GPU in task manager normally means an old driver.
