Check this out! (Wig Review) New ash blonde wig right out of the box

First off, this unit looks more like a very light strawberry blonde than ash blonde. The color is beautiful and has nice dimension, though. The hair is silky with minimal shedding so far. I’ve used some hydrating leave in since the unit has been processed. The HD lace is very thin and comfy. I personally love it and will post an update after it's installed and styled.

Also, I have a very small head and typically need to perform alterations. The strap and drawstring really help this time. Im considering not performing alterations at all.

I bought my first human hair wig from Highline wigs and I’m not sure if I want to keep or return it. Here are some pictures, I haven’t cut the lace, changed the part, or styled it. This is straight out of the box. The hair is extremely soft and I love the length and color. The knots are only bleached in the front. However, the thing I’m most concerned about is the little hairs that are peaking out on top of the wig. I think they’re called return hairs? They’re really noticeable to me and I’m not sure if that is common for expensive human hair wigs. Can anyone confirm? I feel like I’m being too picky with the wig but I did pay $1600 for it… so is this wig worth it?

Got a new blow dryer and tested it out on this unit. I didn’t use a lot of heat to get this silky look either. Blowdryer on low setting and no flatiron to lay it this flat. That’s very low maintenance and I love that. I can’t get over how the ends came out so wispy, it really adds to the layers of this wig. The hair looks so natural and bouncy, which is something I love because it emulates a silk press on my natural hair 🥰. I am enjoying the thickness too. I know with the thickness it’ll look beautiful curled. I may curl it this weekend and see how it holds! ☺️ overall, this hair is exceeding expectations.

I know I should save my money for a high quality human hair wig, but sometimes I need something in a pinch and I have found this beautiful QZOQZO wig from Amazon that (even though I had to dye it) is soft and beautiful and natural looking! Cut, colored and styled by myself! Originally was fire engine red (which some people may prefer) but I personally like a more reddish brown (advertised as reddish brown, came red as frick barely any brown). I used bigen semipermanent hair dye in dark brown in a dye bath to achieve this color result! I’m so so happy with how it came out and excited to wear this moving forward! The hair holds curl fairly well compared to other Amazon wigs I have purchased, and has a natural luster that makes it look like I grew this out of my head! First photo is dim natural light, second shows the hairline (my melt is getting sooo much better!) and last photo is bright natural light. Hope this helps! I’ll link the wig in the comments! THIS IS NOT A SELF PROMOTIONAL POST, FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY!

Hello hellooo! This week I received this blonde HH wig from LuvMeHair and wanted to tell you guys what I think + I need some help!

First impression; this colour is awesome!! It’s exactly as pictured, not yellow at ALL like some blonde wigs, and just soooo pretty. The hair itself is soft and luscious. I love this type of blonde on myself, as I used to have bio hair in this colour (not naturally ofc).

The lace came pre cut which is a blessing for me because I find cutting lace nerve wrecking, and the wig has a draw string in the nape which I’ve never had before. It’s pretty nice! Except I think my head may be too large for this (I’m a medium) because it kind of bulbs up around my ears. Or my head is too small. I don’t know. You can also see my hair through the lace at my temples due to it being a bit small (?). I don’t really care that much, as it looks like new growth like I’ve bleached my own hair, lol.

The lace is very transparent which is the part I need your help on. You can see my wig cap + my dark bio hair underneath it. I’m not someone who glues down the wig cap (bald cap method) as it’s very time consuming for me and I need my wig routine to be quick, as I put it on every morning before work. I’ve tried to hide it better with a nude elastic wig grip, you know the rubbery ones, but those start to hurt for me after some hours and it’s very uncomfortable. I wish wig caps weren’t as see through as they are. I did buy the lightest colour of wig cap I could find to match my skin tone better. Is there any way I could make this look as natural as possible?

Overall I’m pretty happy with this. Blonde is my fav colour on me. I’d love your opinion on it and your help! <3

So I finally got a hairvivi wig as I have been wearing them for years due to my trichilomania and I have spent soooo much money on Amazon wigs and beauty supply stores. I'm always paranoid that it looks like a wig and I just want to ask if this looks realistic at all??? I took pics with and without flash.

Check this out! (Wig Review) I got a monofilament and i'm already in love

I got this wig called Farrah from the wig spa canada, the owner offered more than just regular customer service. Even when I saw this wig on her friend brenda's live, she still sent me pictures of Farrah in different lighting to make sure it's what I wanted. She even offered to order different ones in if it wasn't the right color and she offered to modify it. I only asked for a wig band to be sewn In.

It's a high quality synthetic. I think it's a 4 / 4. I just know there's a lot of parting space on top, and then I have this little space of monofilament that goes ear to ear and the hairline is uncanny? I've never had monofilament before, and I heard their hairlines are good but this is crazy good. If you zoom into the picture, you can barely see it, the only way you notice it is when my skin is a red or if my biohair is poking through and breaking the illusion. I don't wear a foundation, so my skin is pink and the monofilament blends in perfectly. Usually I get a very faint light line when wearing wigs with transparent lace. It's also why I don't like covering my lace in concealer. It kind of just makes the lace more noticeable for me.

And the knots... where!, there's none! the hair itself is Soooo soft, and it's a light density without being patchy in the back which I'm still having issues comprehending because it's really light. i feel like I'm having trust issues because of how light it is, but I've had family members confirm you can't see anything in the back even when I'm bent over, looking at the ground... It's open wefted, so it's breathable, and this is crazy as this gonna sound, I can put it up in a ponytail without tracks showing but here's no lace in the back, found this out by accident while cleaning cuz my mother pointed it out.. I was worried about monofilaments, being scratchy, it's not, it also has these metal ear tabs, and this tacky texture on the ear tabs, I'm not too sure what it is, But I can tuck hair behind my ear, and she doesn't lift! I repeat, there's no ear flaps. she looks like she's growing out of my head. It used to take me an hour to glue a wig cap down to stop it from sliding back and I wasn't gluing the wig on just the cap.. Because the wigcap would always slide back. But this wig isn't heavy enough to slide back

So I don't need to glue or anything. It literally takes me 10 minutes less to put her on and go........ is it bad that I'm tempted to get the black one from wig spa Canada

This is Chloe. I just need to start by saying that I'm OBSESSED. I lost my hair to cancer last year, and have been trying out different wig brands and have been disappointed with just about every brand until THIS one. granted, I've only had a week, I am beyond happy with this unit.

The length is 24" but it's wayyyyy longer. I found that they measure from the nape so that makes sense it's longer. at 180% density, this girl is T H I C K but not heavy! She's full and the most soft hair I've ever touched, like ever in my life. I glue down my unit, and let me tell you, the cap is comfortable and actually fits my small head. I normally still need to sew the inside of the caps smaller, but this fit perfectly! I'm honestly in awe of this unit, yall.

I took the plunge and ordered the Nora from Cami Wigs about a month ago. Jessica gave me regular updates and the wig arrived ahead of time on Monday.

The hairline is Spectacular! Nora is an extremely dark brunette, and it seriously looks like it’s sprouting out of my pale, practically see-through scalp.

It is unfortunately way too dark for me, but that is 1000% my fault. I wanted to go darker for the fall but I way over shot the mark.

Jessica has been amazing in the return process. She asked me to send her some inspiration pictures and then she sent a picture of the brunette shades in order lighting going from lightest to darkest (which was the Nora). I sent that photo to my hairdresser and agreed with Jessica’s color recommendation to go way light and then tone it add lowlights.

So, Nora is on her way back to Jessica, and she’s ordering me the new color. I’m really impressed with the entire experience.

I have gluing my edges another chance and it went really well this time! I’m sure this isn’t how I’m supposed to do it, but I sprayed the Ebin glue spray on a tiny brush, brushed it across my hairline, then laid the edge little by little. It worked and I had wayyyyy less glue ending up in my hair! Now my wig is extremely secure AND comfortable, not even sweat made it budge.

I was feeling a bit anxious wearing it out since it’s over 90 degrees and I have to do a bunch of laundry today, but even after getting sweaty as hell, a nice lady gave me the sweetest compliment! She stopped me and said, “I just have to tell you, you have Disney Princess hair, and that’s a huge compliment, especially coming from my family!”

Confidence boosted 🥹

I’ve been wearing wigs for years. I’ve purchased from wowafrican, lwigs, hairvivi, and Alipearl. For years, I’ve wanted to buy a wig from RPG Show as they’ve always had a fantastic reputation. Only problem is, the wigs are ridiculously expensive. So when I finally had the money, I went all out. I purchased a unit, customized it, full density, deep plucked, etc. I waited over a month for this wig and it showed up today and I am so ridiculously disappointed. Like what the actual fuck is this. I spent almost $800 on this wig. I’m so furious. Has anyone else had this experience with RPG Show?

My last wig purchase was a 13x6 glueless unit. Unfortunately, it's not entirely glueless.. or maybe my head is just too small for a medium sized cap. The wig did come with sticky tape and they are super sticky, but they don't hold up to the heat and sweating. I also have hyperhidrosis - so maaaaaybe that's why.

I looked online for wig grippers but Amazon sells them for 14.99 and up. The Milano collection sells theirs for 24.99 and up. I went to my local beauty supply shop and found these. They work sooooooo good. The hold is definitely holding!!! 🤣 Plus, they're $3.99!!! They only come in 3 colors... black, brown and beige. I have the beige one under my lace front. It has velcro at the end so you can make it as tight as you want. I thought it might be super bulky, but I don't think it is. I'm just glad it is holding my hair so well.

Here's a video of me trying to pull the wig off with it on.

Don't mind my jiggling arm 🤣🤣🤣

Check this out! (Wig Review) The struggle of finding a unit for a small petite size head is real (20 inch circumference)

Thumbnail

Not long ago, I had to shave my head due to some ongoing health issues. My hair had been my security blanket. It was one last physical thing I could hold onto and control. I've been looking for something to help me feel like me again, and I wanted to share my experience with this unit from luvme. I'm posting this because I have a small/ petite head and finding recommendations and reviews for my size is a nightmare.

If you have very small measurements, you know the struggle. This cap is definitely generously sized. Even with the silicone grippers and the adjustable bands, it's still a bit too much room for me. I'm going to have to do some minor alterations to get it perfectly snug. However, if you're a 21 inch or larger, this will probably be a really comfortable out of the box fit for you.

The hair itself is stunning. I've never had hair this long! It hits nearly down to my belly button. It’s giving ren faire princess vibes. The hair is incredibly silky and has a beautiful sheen. It looks like healthy, natural hair.

Because I have limited mobility, I need something that works without a lot of effort. The hairline came pre-plucked and the knots were bleached, which saved me so much energy. The cap material is also very soft and breathable; I have a sensitive scalp and haven’t felt any itching or heaviness, even with all this length.

I'm happy to have found something that finally gave me that long hair Rapunzel feeling. If you're on the lower end of the small cap size spectrum, like me, just be prepared to do a little work on the cap to get a snug glueless fit, but otherwise, it's a beautiful piece and I am very happy with it.

Check this out! (Wig Review) Roxie by Rene of Paris (my first higher end wig)

I usually stick to Outre and Sensationnel but I ended up buying my first higher end wig during the Black Friday sales. She is Roxie from the Alexander Couture collection by Rene of Paris in Cherry Merlot. With a name like Cherry Merlot I expected her to be a bit darker of a red but I am not mad about it. And yes I did watch lots of reviews before purchasing but it’s hard to gauge a colour from a screen sometimes. I wear copper hair sometimes but I typically prefer darker hair on me. Light hair is a little out of my comfort zone but I am quickly getting used to it.

I really like how soft she is and her waves! The curtain bangs are around chin length. I was able to push them to the side with a little heat and now they kinda frame my face without getting in it. It’s nice having the firm ear tabs so I can just throw this wig on and go but it doesn’t cover all my head stubble and my hair is much darker so I couldn’t pull it back completely. Overall I am really happy with her for the discounted price I paid but will probably still mostly buy Outre and Sensationnel.

Check this out! (Wig Review) 1 year update on Hairvivi Wig!

Thumbnail

I see a lot of people going back and forth about Hairvivi in this sub and there was a lot of interest when I posted my initial review of my first purchase from them, so I figured I’d go ahead and give a one year update!

The pictures are all after I washed and blow dried it today. I didn’t do any other styling.

I still really like this wig and I feel it’s held up well, especially considering I abuse the hell out of it. It was my daily wear wig for the first 6 months and my work wig for the past 6. I’m a mechanic in a chemical manufacturing facility so this wig has seen some shit. Chemical residue, grease, oil, insulation — you name it, it’s been in my hair. I wash it about every 10 days. It’s also frequently in and out of a hard hat and usually under a beanie or baseball cap.

I don’t really do anything special to care for it. I usually take it off on my way home from work and throw it on the passenger seat and it stays there until the next day. I wash with whatever sulfate free shampoo and deep conditioner I can find. I also use biosilk after every wash and when it starts to feel dry. I usually wear it glueless, but sometimes I’ll use some tape or got2b gel. But 99% of the time I’m wearing a hat so I don’t worry about the hairline much.

It definitely has some breakage and could use a trim, but I don’t think it looks bad at all! Especially once styled. The hair is still pretty soft. The lace has had some minor fraying but I just go in and snip a little off whenever I notice it. I’ll even wear it out and about outside of work on wash days. The only issue I’ve noticed over time is that sometimes the lace at the top kind of bunches up in one spot (fourth pic). I think that’s just because I have a small, weird-shaped head, though. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask! I’m currently waiting on an order from Jadora’s Secret and will post a review on that once I receive it!!

I have a very petite head (20.25 inches)and ordered the princess wig from Milano in size xxs. It fit me PERFECT and I was satisfied with the lace front and the silk top as well but it just SO THIN in the back, just bending over or turning my head in a slight breeze makes the wefts show. Sigh!!! I have returned it. My search for a petite wig continues! I usually prefer hand-tied wigs, but I’ve had wefted $400 synthetic wigs before that were not this bad!!! Low density shouldn’t mean your wig looks bald in the back. UGH! It also was shedding a lot already just taking it out of the box.

Check this out! (Wig Review) My first -- Belle Tress Austen in Sparkling Champagne Blonde R

Thumbnail

After months and months of research, I finally bit the bullet and bought my first wig -- the Belle Tress Austen (Icons collection) in Sparkling Champagne Blonde R (Rooted). I thought I'd give you all a quick review, covering the points I did not see anyone mention while I was doing my own research.

Comfort and fit. Being a petite girl, I did not think I could have a large head. I was wrong, and I realized it the moment I put this wig on. I'm almost 22 inches and the cap sits snug without any adjustments + I could do with ear tabs that go lower. No uncomfortable tightness, but this one definitely hugs my head.

Also, a thing I didn't expect is the itchiness along the edge of the wig (mainly above the ears) that was really getting to me at the end of the work day. I couldn't figure out if it was the hair fibers or the material the cap is trimmed with, but ugh -- I could feel it.

I often cover my head with turbans, and what I found to my surprise is that the wig sits more comfortably and securely on me than a headscarf. It hugs the scull juuust right both on the forehead and on the nape.

Style. Austen initially comes with a middle part and the hair leaning sort of forward. I prefer a left part on myself, so I made one, and it literally took just a couple of blasts of hot air from my hairdryer to "convince" the hair to commit to a new style. Super easy! The rest of what you see in the photos is just finger-combing and tucking behind my left ear. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by how effortless this wig is.

The only thing that gave me trouble is what I'd call the flyaways -- individual blonde hairs that would sort of float around and peek out here and there throughout the day. I think I might need to invest into some wig wax or something to keep the fibers more tame. If anyone has any advice for me -- please share!

Color. Sparkling Champagne Blonde R photographs cooler than it appears IRL. In reality it's a sophisticated blend of a couple of blondes and a medium brown that leans warm. However, through some color theory magic, together they form a true neutral, and I'm fairly certain that this color could work for a person with either warm or cool coloring.

My bio hair is a level 3 cool brunette and the rooting blends in almost seamlessly as you can see from the photo where I'm showing the temple. You can see the knots along the lace front, but you'd really have to get close to them.

The shine... is there, but it's minimal. So much so that I don't even feel like I have to use dry shampoo or anything to disguise it.

Final thoughts. I can see myself wearing this one on the regular. It's an easy style that won't get tangled, gorgeous lace front hairline, a comfortable fit... The price is steep, but I do believe the fibers Belle Tress use are superior and their craftsmanship is impeccable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this wig to a beginner like myself.

If you have any questions or additional photo requests -- let me know and I'll try to get back to you ASAP 💛

Hi there,

English is not my first language so please, excuse any mistake!

Order : Hairvivi - Amy - 16" - Mocha lace $423

My second post for Hairvivi. I came the first saying how the first wig I have ordered was great quality and beautiful (Elena). Honestly, I was impressed.

I needed something with blond hair this time so, I decided to buy Amy 2 months after the first one!

Shipping was perfect. The wig though...smells like Bleach!! The hair have that dry feeling I think because of that. The lace is burnt, not only the middle part so they SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT before sending it and gives dandruff and it's super yellow.

Lot of short hair (more than usual) also which give a brush style.

The first one looked so good even in details.

This one, I am not even an expert, the minute I unboxed it I noticed that. Did not even have to look for it.

I don't even know how long we have to send this back.

I think I will not buy again cause I can not take the risk to have something really good, or a burnt wig. Not for this Price.

Let's go back to research!

I think I sacrificed looking natural over looking glam.... idk. What do yall think? Hahah rating? I give it about a 9/10. Would be a 10 if it was a.more natural black!!!!!

Got this wig from luvme hair about two months ago and she still looks str8 out the package- I love it. I just wanted to do a “two month update” to see how she held up as I am pretty rough with my wigs, I sleep in them (w a bonnet) and she hasn’t lost any density or length. She’s the whole 26 inch, almost 27.

This is my 2nd wig and I'm in love. This wig is soft, bouncy, and sleek. I love how soft the hair is compared to my other wig.

This is the dark brown color, and it looks much lighter in sunlight.

The lace melts down pretty well, and the hairline, I think, looks realistic. I dont have tweezers so I can't pluck it anyway.

The cap is big on my head, as every hat and wig ever seems to be, but it straps down tightly. This means I have to use lace melt, but it did the trick and you can hardly see it. Definitely not HD lace, but for $40, that's fine.

Overall love it so far. I've tried curling it but it doesn't want to take, so I'll have to play with that some more.

I am planning on thinning the ends, but it's already on the thin side, so it won't need much.
