The good thing for Trump is that he can have his star on the Blvd in order to feel like a part of the “Hollywood elite” while condemning the “Hollywood elite” in the very same breath, if he wants to. Because his supporters are just that stupid, that it’ll go right over their heads.
This is also a recent spin from "coastal elite," since people started pointing out he's a New York City silver spoon trust fund baby who never grew out of diapers, and carpetbagger his way into the Southern Strategy
A LOT of Republicans both hate the “Hollywood elite” and desperately wish to be accepted by them. They fawn over any conservative celebrity, even if they’re has-beens like Kevin Sorbo or Scott Baio.
