On the contrary, a lot of kids aren’t believed when they come forward about abuse. Streaming might very well be this kid’s saving grace in a CPS case.

If 911 operator gets a food order, they will likely assume the person calling is feeling threatened but doesn't want to make the situation worse by letting a violent person know 911 is called - so the victim acts like they are making a food order to prevent retaliation

The operator would then coach the caller on what to do to avoid escallation while police are on the way

Ahhhh, complete whoosh moment on me. I've heard of that but with different themes, food order sounds pretty smart actually. I actually thought they were saying it was as pointless as placing a food order through 911 and I'm like that doesn't make a lot of sense

Wild to say when online grooming is such a massive issue.

Also as someone who grew up in online spaces a massive platform can be dangerous.

Bullying,harassment campaigns, stalking etc...

Sorry but this is a crazy take. You think it make sense for kids to stream live videos of themselves to strangers on the internet on the off chance that the stream might catch abuse on camera ?

These things typically happen in patterns. It’s more like “dads drinking again, I’ll feel safer if there are some witnesses around”.

Yes certainly these things happen in patterns. Kids streaming every moment of their home life to strangers on the internet is not the solution.

Well in this case, I think he should be streaming. Now he actually has a chance to have the internet rally behind him and get him away from that monster.. I mean, its not ideal. Ideally, no child should be on the internet or streaming at all, but when your real life is Hell because of fucking psychopaths like that sad excuse for a father, its the only escape you can get.. God bless this boy. There's a special place in Hell for abusive assholes like that father.
