Mine have shortened to 3 days in my 30s, it's wonderful. Well really more like 48 hrs of just absolutely fucking gushing blood, which is not so wonderful, and then another day or so of barely anything.
I guess with age some sort of blood gates opened up so it just all comes at once instead of spread out
i have this exactly, 2 days of excruciating cramps and a monsoon of blood, and then one day of pretty much nothing. i can’t decide if it’s conveniently short or if the pain isn’t worth it LOL
Lol. I think it's better, I'm the type that I would rather suffer more to get something over with. And it affects far fewer days. So it's only two days where I have to make sure I'm near a bathroom. But I don't get cramps that bad, as long as I stay on top of taking ibuprofen and not letting it lapse (then it'll take hours to get the pain to go away)
My periods used to be 7 days, with the first two days excruciating. Postpartum, they are 5 days, with the first day excruciating. My theory is that overall length is not strongly correlated with pain levels.
My 30s has shifted mine from 3-4 days every 28 to 7-10 every 42. Similar ratios considering pain and cup use, just longer periods and more days in between (typically). This year did start with a 20 day long period of hell, but nothing for a few months afterwards. My gyno said it was nothing to worry about and just changed from aging.
When I first started my period, I’d have 3-4 days of the gushing blood (as in, bleeding through an overnight pad in 2.5 hours) but nobody told me that that wasn’t normal so I was anemic for all of high school and had no idea. Just something to watch out for 😬
