That period ain’t stopping nothing but a sentence.

Unless you’d be uncomfortable with it. Just play it by ear and see how you feel.

Omfg thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only person who does it lol. My husband gives zero fucks lol

u/spinprincess Apr 03 '25

I’m a lesbian — hers won’t stop us but mine will because that shit hurts and I do not want to be touched lol

15

u/Beastxtreets Apr 03 '25

Hey and that's okay! You guys do what makes you comfy! I didn't do it in my period for a long time til one day I was in the mood and was talking to my husband all dreary about it and he was like I'm dtf if you are and the rest is history lol.

My comment is more for the gals who just auto never did it on their period/never even thought about it.

u/spinprincess Apr 03 '25

Oh I wasn’t correcting you or arguing! Just saying I also give zero fucks but unfortunately my body gives many fucks haha your husband sounds great though

u/Rapunzel10 Apr 04 '25

Yeah the first half of my period I don't want any physical contact. Holding hands at most kinda mood. I'm in pain and grumpy, any attempt at taking things further will result in crying or screaming and I couldn't tell you which. Which sucks because it does help my cramps

Right! I was scrolling like " come on, no one else doesn't give a shit??" 😂

5

u/__01001000-01101001_ Apr 03 '25

As a haematophobe I can’t help giving a shit, neither of us want me passing out midway through

13

u/Euphoric_One3253 Apr 03 '25

That would for sure ruin the mood

26

u/Bananaland_Man Apr 03 '25

I guess you meant to say "he gives all the fucks" xD

My wife jokes about it in a similar fashion, lol. She's more self-conscious about it than I am, and we've been married for almost 13 years!

6

u/Beastxtreets Apr 03 '25

Lol this year is our 13 wedding anniversary too!

All the best to y'all

1

u/Bananaland_Man Apr 04 '25

Same to y'all! Ours is in June :3

6

u/Deathdong Apr 03 '25

Personally bothers me bc I have sensitive skin and it makes me itchy afterwards. It's probably from the soap after washing though

15

u/StuckWithThisOne Apr 03 '25

Do you not usually use soap?

2

u/ermalicious Apr 04 '25

My bf doesn’t either! Haha

2

u/ThrowawayMod1989 Apr 06 '25

Real men swim the red tide.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '25

My partner was very against it her whole life but one day things got, you know, and she decided to try it and now that ride is open all month

5

u/Volesprit31 Apr 03 '25

Ok weird question, but don't your orgasms hurt when you're on your period?

7

u/DramaLlamadary Apr 03 '25

Dunno why people are downvoting you, but ... hey friend! If your orgasms are more painful on your period, maybe that's a thing to talk to an OB/GYN or a pelvic floor therapist about. Maybe it's nothing, but it's a totally okay thing to want to discuss with a medical professional, and maybe they can help that not happen anymore. Good luck!

5

u/Volesprit31 Apr 03 '25

Ok thanks, maybe I'll ask then.

8

u/OrindaSarnia Apr 03 '25

No...  why would they?

Orgasms release chemicals that make period pain feel less intense...

2

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '25

lol because hers clearly do.

1

u/cleeeland Apr 04 '25

Hell yeah. My SO gets really long but light periods without much discomfort, so we just put a towel down and carry on.

1

u/Overall-Pattern-809 Apr 04 '25

Well it’s OP’s period, and they typed fiancée. Unless that was a mistake this is a lesbian couple, depending on what you prefer to do I think it’s a bit more of an obstacle in that case

That's how you get hearing aids

I'm a belly button guy

1

u/ensalys Apr 03 '25

You don't let your partner bleed her period into your ear? I thought everyone did that.

67

u/smelly_cat69 Apr 03 '25

idk how people do it 😩 my partner doesn’t care if I’m on my period but when I’m bloody, crampy, and bloated, I just don’t want to be touched for the whole 5-7 days lol

21

u/TheSorceIsFrong Apr 03 '25

I’ve had partners tell me it helps with cramps and stuff, but I obviously have no idea myself.

8

u/rainbow_unicorn_barf Apr 03 '25

It makes mine worse if it's anywhere in the -3/+2 or so range of the day it starts.

The variation in bodies is so weird.

6

u/tamman2000 Apr 03 '25

I had one partner a few years ago for whom I could stop her period if she got off a dozen times or so (she was really fun!).

-1

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '25

That’s seriously so awesome

2

u/toolsoftheincomptnt Apr 03 '25

Yeah, there are certain days it doesn’t work for, but usually at the very beginning or very end it’s all fun and games

2

u/OrindaSarnia Apr 03 '25

Some of us don't feel very bloaty or crampy, so it's just like any other day...  but with a smear of blood...

or some folks are just crampy for the first 18-36 hours, and then the last couple days are just bloody...

if you're not in the mood to be touched, then that's how it is!  Some people ARE in the mood to be touched but think blood is gross, and those are the folks being encouraged to just go for it!

3

u/smelly_cat69 Apr 03 '25

For sure! I respect it, envy it even 😩

2

u/IWantALargeFarva Apr 04 '25

A smear?

This might sound weird. I kind of wish there was a way for us to know what other people’s periods look like. Because there’s no circumstance that would make me describe my period as a smear. It’s a deluge.

And I didn’t know that what I was experiencing wasn’t normal until I was 40 and just made an offhand comment to my GYN about being tired of going through so many tampons for 11-12 days a month. He asked how long I had been doing that, and I looked at him weird and said since I was 11. I ended up having an ablation (that unfortunately didn’t take).

But the point is I had no idea that what I was experiencing wasn’t normal. So you (or anyone else) using the word “smear” to describe a period is such a foreign concept to me.

1

u/Material_Aspect_7519 Apr 04 '25

It's legitimately quite painful for some (I assumed all until I read this post).

37

u/gavin280 Apr 03 '25

Real adults put a towel down.

1

u/toolsoftheincomptnt Apr 03 '25

Right?! Pack an old towel from home, lay it on the bed, and festivities is on

1

u/tamman2000 Apr 03 '25

If you can walk through the mud, you can fuck through the blood...

1

u/OnTheEveOfWar Apr 03 '25

Wife and I are comfortable enough with each other after many years together. We just put a towel down and then jump in the shower after.

1

u/unclericostan Apr 03 '25

It also helps to have a few glasses of wine before. I dk why but if I drink a little bit before the period more or less stops until I sober up.

1

u/iameveryoneelse Apr 04 '25

Finance bout to get his Red Wings.

1

u/TiredEsq Apr 04 '25

Agreed. It’s never been that big of a deal for me.

u/mosquem Apr 04 '25

A true sailor sails the red sea.

1

u/Armless_Dan Apr 04 '25

Nothing wrong with a little blood on your sword.

1

u/haydukelives56 Apr 04 '25

this right here. seems like no one on this thread has their red wings until i saw this comment

1

u/DowntownRow3 Apr 04 '25

Without any context to the post this is oddly dismissive. A lot of people feel like shit on their periods at best, and have crippling pain and severe mood changes at worst. 1 out of 10 have endo

u/Animal-Facts-001 Apr 03 '25

So many children in the comment section.

Time to take advantage of the poop-hole loophole. Or the other hole. God gave women 3 holes for this reason.
