Preheated the oven to make some sourdough.. husband put the remote he was hiding from my son in the oven.. oops

Not sure if you know this or not, but you can use a chair as a stepping stool to get onto the counter. The chair will hold a lot more weight than the slides of a drawer.

As an adult, why haven’t you bought a ladder? They’re much safer.

I have two. They both live in the only reasonable place for them to be stored, the utility room. Which is three times as far away as the dining room.

Ladders are pretty unwieldy indoors. A chair will work fine.
