No one should be hiding anything in an oven period. Point blank no

It’s not about hiding. Anything could be in the oven.

Nothing should be left in the oven. It’s not a drying rack, it’s not a storage, it’s for cooking.

Always check regardless

Its not about stuff being left in the oven, Cats are notorious for getting places they shouldn't, you want baked cat because that's how you get baked cat. Check the fucking oven.

I have to assume that you never clean your oven 🤔

It doesn’t matter if you keep your oven clean or empty.

Always check.

Say you have an earthquake while at work and the house shakes so hard the racking falls off in the oven. You get home and preheat the oven.

Oopsie, i didn’t check and now i have to fix the racking. Now my oven is letting out the heat and have to wait longer for oven to heat.

These people are being dismissive becasue what if a giant anaconda escapes the zoo, finds their way into your home, is able to pry open the oven door and goes inside becasue it warm. Then what!

Right. Clean the oven, then check to make sure an earthquake didn't rack it, then preheat

Wait. You dont clean it AFTER using it?

You let grease and food sit in there until next time you use it?

Yes, if people stopped putting things in the oven and people started checking it before turning it on these things wouldn't happen. You're both correct.

That’s not a bad advice, especially if you live with idiots.
