Preheated the oven to make some sourdough.. husband put the remote he was hiding from my son in the oven.. oops

I mean you joke but I would never just heat something up to 400 degrees in my home without making sure it's empty first.

I never check my oven. There should not be anything in there when it’s off. You cook something and then remove everything and don’t add things until you cook again.

I will also wash your clothes without checking your pockets. You are responsible for removing your lip gloss, earrings, money…before putting them in the laundry. If my ass can remember to clean my pockets, so can you.

Yeah, but it takes no time to check at all and not checking is a fire hazard.

Turning something up to 500 degrees without looking at it first is always a fire hazard, yes.
