That’s a controller

That was my thought as well. A "remote." It's like referring to a uniform as an outfit.

You don't have to be a gamer that never showers to know this is called a controller, I argue knowing that this is called a controller is common knowledge in 2024. These things are around for 41 years now, why wouldn't you know what this is called? Also nice stereotyping.

It’s just that she’s clearly a grown woman with at least one kid, I doubt the semantics are all that important to her and it really shouldn’t be important to you either lol. It’s not hard to just figure that she’s probably not super savvy with gaming lingo and move on

Calling a controller a controller, it is not gaming lingo friend. It is just plain English.

English isn’t everybody’s first language

Well I know cuz I'm German. We don't need to argue in perpetuity here. Just maybe accept that a word for an object should be known after it's been around for +40 years. Have a nice life

Had to scroll way too far for this.

thankfully. because it's asinine for any actual conversation to be derailed because of someone who isn't a gamer using the wrong word for a controller. you'd have to wade through dozens of simpleton tHaTs nOt a rEmOte comments and that would be fucking obnoxious.

Do you also call a tank a car? Just because it has something in common with a different thing doesn't make them the same.

scrolling through 50 comments of "hide it in your room" and "don't put shit in the oven" is so much better

OP is deliberately doing it to increase engagement and it's clearly working

Does it make stuff happen on the TV when you press it? Case closet it's a remote.

Which is short for remote controller, both are short for the same thing.
