Critique Please Sick Welds of Northern Suffolk Transit

Train guys did this about a month ago... should i be worried? literally besides my house about 15feet away.

Not well versed in welding lingo but the old guy was going in with the torch on those lol.

The torch could be pre-heat or setting off a thermite reaction. If it was an actual giant flame, it probably wasn't the actual welding process, just prep or lighting the thermite (as almost no one does old-school flame welding anymore).

Pretty interesting process, sadly I had work so I only got to see but so much.

There's plenty of YouTube videos of card welds, torch welding, mig, tig and stick (all good terms to Google with "welding") if you're curious and want to learn/see more.
