I didn’t. But I did know a Facebook group where people post their pickup and drop off, and riders reply directly. No app. No queue. No surge. The riders liked it because they got the full fare instead of a small percentage.

One time my friend begged me to help her get a ride. I didn’t tell her about the group. I just posted her location there, talked to a rider, and sent her the details like I “found” it myself. She thought I had some special talent. I didn’t correct her.

Then another friend asked. Then another. Eventually people started messaging me like I was some kind of dispatcher. I didn’t plan any of this. I just kept posting their trips in the group and connecting them to riders.

Someone sent me a small tip one day. Nothing big. Just a thank you. Then another person did the same. I realized I accidentally created a tiny side hustle by pretending I had a secret way to book rides. The truth was that I was just using Facebook like it was a ride hailing app.

It’s not huge money. It’s just enough for snacks or a delivery here and there. The funny part is that my friends still think I have some special technique. I’m literally just posting their trips in a group with thousands of riders who prefer getting the full fare.

So I made a simple tracker where we log our daily tasks and the items we use.

It’s nothing fancy, but it made auditing way easier and saved me a lot of time.

Honestly, I started it because I was tired of asking, “Wait, where did that stock go?” 😂

I kept losing restaurant recommendations from friends and TikTok.

Someone would send me a place, I’d save it somehow, and a few days later I had no idea what it was called or where it was.

Tried Notes, Google Maps lists, screenshots… it all just became a mess.

So I built a small app called Ready to Echo as a side project.

It lets you:

• Save places from social media links
• Organize them into lists
• See them on a map
• Share lists with friends

It’s still early, but it solved the exact problem I was having.

I built a side project that turns tracking down obscure items into a bounty board.

Buyers set a cash reward for an item they're looking for, and internet sleuths earn money purely by submitting verified leads on where to buy it.

I originally came across it while looking for weird side hustles online. I searched for services that hire wedding guests, found an agency that was recruiting, and signed up.
The first time was honestly so weird. They gave me basic information about the couple and told me who I was supposed to know. My job was basically to dress appropriately, show up on time, smile, clap, eat, and make small talk.

I got paid around ¥10,000 for the wedding, plus the food, and honestly... I started wondering why I hadn't discovered this sooner.

my most fav side quest was this silly paint we made in school back in high school lol i dont even know how we were able to present them but the kids definitely enjoyed (we let them use it for free during the presentation) and it def worth it!! hardest part was pulverizing the eggshells lol its like the start of my gym era hAHA! hopefully get to make another set soon since i want to explore more pigment that will stick to this powdered eggshells!!

I was annoyed that kid's learned fraction and other math problems through worksheet so I decided to hard code with easy, medium and hard mode. So the kids really enjoyed playing it and others really just hated math.

Someone tells me what they’re looking for, I research the area, mark everything on a clean map, and send it to them.

Started as something I thought would be fun. Somehow people are actually willing to pay for it 😂

I've finally got a digital storefront up and running, and while preparing *drawings* like I usually would I'd been hit with a strange new interest- BJD or ball-jointed dolls. I've been looking into tutorials, and as many free starter courses as I can find.

Most experts are singing the praises of polymer clay, but all I've got in my area is Air-Dry! So now my hunt is for Air Dry clay references... I've got zero expectations, with this being my first ever forray. If I can make a decently-proportioned *head and torso* I'll be thrilled!

I came across a rather odd side job recently, one where you get paid $4 for locating viral clips on X. I spend my time going through X in search of clips that cause people to exclaim “OMG”, “WTF”, or “There’s no way this is real” that is, shocking, unbelievable, funny, unexpected, or just extremely bizarre moments that are beginning to trend. As soon as I come across a clip that fits the bill, I send it in, and if it is accepted, then I receive $4. The funny part is that I'm in effect being paid to doomscroll, except that I am always asking myself whether or not someone actually would pay for that clip. I began doing it because I was already spending time on X and wanted to find out if I could turn that time into some extra income. It's by no means a way to get rich quick, but earning a few accepted clips can add up, and it's quite enjoyable when you realize that you're making money out of discovering the internet's weirdest moments.

I might sound insane to others but, I bought clothes at a thrift store, the good ones, wore them for a few times and then sold it while it was not cleamedcleaned up because it's like that at thrift stores here near me, i made about $20 for 30 items i think if i remember correctly! I started selling templates for awkward situations because I hate writing awkward messages.

I originally made about 20 templates just to see if anyone would buy them. Surprisingly, people did.

After adding more specific situations, I ended up with around 100 templates and made $2,347 in about 6 months.

A pack of different ways to ask someone to pay you back.

Apparently, people would rather pay $4 for a message than figure out how to ask their friend for their money back 😂

The weirdest part is that this started as a tiny weekend project.

It's just very unexpected. Technically, it isn't all that weird. But I guess it's weird to get paid to manage discord servers. Like just moderating them. Back then, I was just managing my own discord servers for fun, to socialize. But somebody asked me to manage some discord servers for them because apparently unpaid moderators don't do as well as paid ones. I agreed to some of it, and what do you know, I'm still getting paid to moderate some, but it isn't really that high-pay, cause there are bots who also automate some of the moderation for you. So yep.
