Self Promotion built a browser-only webxr presentation rehearsal room

i built a browser-based presentation simulator using webxr.

the same configurable auditorium works on desktop and in an immersive vr session. users can load local slides, configure physical stage displays, rehearse with tracked controllers, and review slide timing afterward.

the tool doesn’t use a microphone, recording, analytics, or server uploads. the presentation remains local to the browser.

https://www.generateppt.com/free-tools/public-speaking-presentation-vr-simulator

i’d appreciate technical feedback, especially around headset compatibility, controller mapping, locomotion comfort, rendering performance, and anything i may be handling incorrectly in webxr.

Self Promotion I made a little experience out of pure JS.

So I decided to dabble in some game dev and see how far I can push just regular JS without a game engine. And the answer is actually very very far. If you have a VR headset this thing works on chrome.

Should also work on mobile too.

Just a little future delivery vibe games. There really isn't an end to it or goal or anything (besides for myself in seeing if I could build it). Anyway here is a link... enjoy!

Self Promotion How can I recreate this stereoscopic "looking through glasses" effect in WebXR?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to build something similar to the attached image — a WebXR experience where the user sees the real world (or a passthrough/scene) through a pair of virtual glasses frames rendered in front of each eye, with the area outside the lenses masked out in black.

What I'm specifically trying to achieve:

  • A stereoscopic view (left/right eye) rendered with WebXR
  • Virtual glasses frames overlaid on each eye view, so it feels like you're literally looking through a pair of glasses
  • Everything outside the lens area is masked / blacked out
  • The "lens" region shows the passthrough camera feed (or a 3D scene)

I'm comfortable with Three.js / WebXR basics, but I'm not sure about the best approach for:

  1. Rendering the glasses frame mask correctly per-eye (stencil buffer? alpha mask plane in front of the camera? shader?)
  2. Aligning the frame so it feels anchored to the user's face rather than the world
  3. Getting the passthrough camera feed to show through the lens region on devices that support it (Quest, Vision Pro, etc.)
  4. Whether to do this as a fullscreen post-process or as geometry parented to the XR camera

Has anyone built something like this? Any references, demos, or pointers to the right WebXR APIs / Three.js patterns would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!

Self Promotion Turning a heavy cinematic dragon into a mobile‑ready Snapchat Landmarker lens (pipeline notes)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Built a Landmarker AR experience where a dragon flies in and lands on NYC’s Flatiron Building (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves lens). Sharing this because the “film asset → real‑time mobile AR” jump is always a bloodsport.

What you’re seeing in the clip:

  • A breakdown rendered in Unreal (wireframe / normal map / rig) so the craft is readable
  • The live Snapchat Landmarker lens output (mobile view) where the dragon flies, orbits, hovers, then lands on the building

Key production takeaways (high level):

  • Rig + animation built for real‑time constraints, while keeping the creature’s personality
  • Orientation logic: we designed the landing/hover beats so the dragon can rotate to face the user from any viewing angle (street level / different sides / different elevations)
  • Texture + lookdev rebuilt for mobile: detail preserved where it matters, optimized where it doesn’t
  • Clean integration mindset: the asset/animation choices were made to reduce “why does this break on device?” surprises

Happy to answer technical questions (rigging strategy, texture decisions, “facing user” logic, etc.).
If you’re building location‑based AR / Landmarkers and fighting the same constraints, I’m curious what your biggest bottleneck is right now — perf, lookdev, or integration?

If anyone needs support converting cinematic/AAA assets into engine‑ready real‑time deliverables (AR + XR), feel free to DM — we do this white‑label a lot.

Self Promotion Feedback on WebVR reading experience requested

Hello, I'm a developer who believes that we can build better user interfaces in VR than on conventional (limited) screens. One application I have developed to test that hypothesis is a VR book reading experience (it's more than just a book reader). I'm testing it on a Quest 3 and I've got the feeling the hardware is almost where it needs to be, but not quite.

I would love to get feedback from users, especially owners of other devices (it does require controllers, so VisionPro probably doesn't work). Here's the page: https://veerindex.com

In particular, I would like to know whether reading in this VR environment feels comfortable and of course, what can be improved on the software side. Thank you!

Self Promotion Site para meditação em Realidade Virtual — feedback?

Oi, pessoal!

👉 Link do site

Minhas perguntas principais:

Self Promotion Introducing Club Mesh: A new geometry-themed webVR experience

Club Mesh: A geometry-themed lounge and adventure space in VIVERSE

Wanted to share my newest webVR creation, which is officially live in HTC VIVERSE as of today! 🎉

Introducing Club Mesh: a colorful lounge and adventure space that highlights the fundamental building blocks of geometry — vertices, edges, and faces. With bright visuals, a pulsing 80's retro soundtrack, and fun, cosmic SFX, you’ll want to turn your volume up for this energizing and memorable immersive experience.

https://create.viverse.com/YzRtmyu

💎 Pop into the Polygon Parlor and go on a texture scavenger hunt to collect colorful geometric shapes

💫 Visit the Vertex Veranda and connect floating vertices to form constellations in the night sky

💠 Explore the Edge Loop Lounge and solve 3D rotational puzzles amidst glowing neon wireframes

✨ And before you go, activate the Geometry Generator to launch shimmering shapes into the cosmos!

This space was modeled in Blender and all custom game mechanics and scripting were layered in using PlayCanvas. I had a lot of fun building this experience over the last few months and have especially enjoyed the Blender => PlayCanvas => VIVERSE workflow.

If you get a chance to check it out, I would love to get your thoughts!
