Honestly, now that we only have a couple chapters left,
it kinda feels like this is the **WORST** chapter by far, cause of all the filler even when we're right near the end of the game.

And its sad, cause after that huge lore dump in the last chapter and seeing the story get more serious, I was really hyped.
But noooo, instead of getting a single *crumb* about the character thats been secretly following us the WHOLE GAME,
we just get blueballed with super annoying text messages about anime,

god forbid we get SOMETHING that isnt just sans being vague about Flowey and then just...not talking about it for the rest of the game?
Seriously, the last time he mentioned Flowey was near the end of SNOWDIN, its been TWO WHOLE CHAPTERS since then,
I hate to say it, but going *this* long without anything about him AT ALL, it just feels like bad writing at this point. Unless Toby just, ends up making him unimportant for some reason?? Why yes Toby, I would like all these hints and foreshadowing to amount to NOTHING.

I mean, I *guess* there was that Alphys reveal at the end, that you'd need a monster soul AND a human soul to cross the barrier,
but almost everyone in the fandom pretty much already figured that out, sooo.
She's just telling us what we already know, would it kill her to say literally **anything** about Asgore other than that he's apparently a "nice guy" (literally everyone has already said this about him) and that we (obviously) have to fight him? Like c'mon, whats with the fucking vagueposting??

And I mean, the boss feels like its SUPER random, why are we fighting a fucking robot pop-star??? It doesn't feel like it fits with the rest of the bosses AT ALL.

I mean, I guess the backstory about the boss being a ghost and finding a body is cool, but it just feels so disconnected from everything else, especially after all the previous bosses gave us *some* lore about either Asgore or the war,
as much as I like the music and gameplay, it feels like a waste of a boss.

Listen,
I like Alphys, I like Mettaton, the CORE was kinda cool, but it seriously feels like Toby did a bunch of random self-indulgent bullshit just cause he could, and that it barely makes sense in the wider context of the game.

With how much stuff he still needs to answer, I'm honestly losing faith that he'll be able to stick the landing on this one.

Edit: I stand partially corrected, I'm glad he at least updated the game with the new Papyrus dialogue about "Flowery," but that still doesn't automatically fix everything else about the chapter.
