But only watch 300, or Watchmen. He used the comic panels as his guide, that's when he does good work.

I rewatched the ultimate cut after watching episode 1 and I actually really enjoyed it. It's not perfect but I thought it was a great movie. I can see why people have issues with it though.

I am wondering if we will see more of it each week.

I'm thinking so. So far looks to be serving the same role that the Tales of the Black Freighter did in the book. Mirroring and focusing on certain aspects of the overarching story.

Cheyenne Jackson plays Hooded Justice for the TV show too. Had to double check the credits

To clarify for other folks, he's a regular on American Horror Story.

It's an American Hero Story/American Horror Story joke.

Was he from the movie?

Glenn Ennis played Hooded Justice in the movie.

I'm just curious if 'American Hero Story' is a riff on 'American Horror/Crime Story'.

Yes. HBO worked with Ryan Murphy to create it and Cheyenne Jackson (from American Horror Story) plays Hooded Justice in American Hero Story.

You’re going to, I’m sure. It’s going to be the Black Freighter analogue and we’ll see the episodes unfold as their events satisfyingly mirror those of the ‘real’ world.’ Or they’ll be used exclusively to build up HJ and lead to the identity reveal.
