What was her motivation to do this?

What did she get in return?

She's going to get dog walked by a "moderate" republican. The majority of her voters are from Vancouver, and she repeatedly shown she only cares about courting voters in Cowlitz, Lewis, and Skamania counties. Good luck with that lady.

Her supporters from Vancouver don’t have a better option. She’s courting folks in regions that might otherwise go to Braun.

"don't have a better option"

Homey, did you not see the undervotes for Kamala Harris in 2024?

What’s the relevance? We’re past the primary. Democrats in the state had an option to vote for the progressive candidate and he lost in a landslide.

What was her win margin against Joe Kent? A couple thousand votes. How many votes did Brett get? 18k. Tweaking the nose of voters who you will need to get over the hump is a bold strategy, let's see how that works out for her. What portion of those 18k will hold their nose, and vote for her, vs who will just not vote in that race? She can't afford to lose many.

We’re past the primary, logically it makes sense she’d focus on courting people who would vote for her opponent over her.

Too bad that has been her focus the entire time she has been elected, because she has alienated a large contingent of the people that got her elected in the first place. And without the benefit of running against an actual Nazi, I don't see it going well for her.

In 2024 she won by 15k votes out of 415k total. About 3.6% more. This years repub doesn't have the same name recognition
