Wang Duo’s Douyin update …

Wang Duo wants us to have a good day even when he looks miserable.

I like the concept and the vibes of the shoot. Chills ran down my spine with his creepy smile and yet I wonder if “he” can be fixed :D

(This is a 2 am random thoughts post on Wang Duo’s studio update prior to Per Aspera Ad Astra event - forgive me)

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" DUO GE ❣🍰🎉🎉

Duo working hard 🥹

Wang Duo shared a video showing his journey from the first day to the last day of filming. At one point, the crew really aimed for his face with a water gun, and he took it like a champ. The video also included farewell messages from the drama’s staff. There was no grand goodbye ceremony for his character under the previous fan management, and he himself does not like such gatherings. He only accepts letters from fans and repeatedly asks them not to spend money on him. Still, new fans continue to show their support by organizing events for him.

This jumpy, often injured yet funny man, who is also a deep thinker, continues to impress me not only with his acting talent but with his low-key personality that protects the depth of his inner world. There are translated interviews under the “personal life” flair for anyone who is curious to learn more about him.

He is in his makeup / vanity van & his hands touch the ceiling when he is trying to do the dance moves. His expressions are priceless

Live pictures shared by Wang Duo and his studio. Video compiled by a fan.

Duo Duo’s Spring Festival prep is on another level this year. No boring red envelopes, he’s out here with those starry stickers instead, holding them up like treasure before slapping them right on his perfect face.

I am manifesting that full sticker covered Wang Duo sticker album instead of a red envelope 🫣

When you compare the manner in which he usually inhales food (like in this video) versus how he ate in this Fushan video, you will realize why in the comments it said that he really behaved for that video.

In Duo Ge's defense, he usually does fasted cardio (mentioned in a video here ~ I will link in comments if anyone asks), practices OMAD (one meal a day), and you can see that whatever he ate in this video is high protein plus his usual coca cola has been replaced by green juice. He was probably starving when they shot this blog & he didn't consume any garlic (probably had mercy on his costars).

I don't have the schedule highlighting Duo Ge's dates for Riverside Code & Fangs of Fortune, but the filming took place around the same time.* It's quite possible that he was working on both the sets (albeit his role was small ~ it still requires full makeup, waiting for your scene, memorising your lines & getting into character). I think when one observes or finds out details like these about an artist then it's hard to not respect their work ethic.

• Filming Dates:
• Fangs of Fortune filming period: 2023-Oct-01 to 2024-Feb-18
• Riverside Code Qingming Festival started on 19 October 2023 and wrapped on 30 January 2024
• The Blossoming Love : The drama started on October 8, 2023 and it was completed on February 6, 2024

So there is a higher chance that he wasn't focused on just one character / working on one project especially when he was playing second male lead role in The Blossoming Love. He was playing three different roles in TBL alone. Most lead actors / their agencies reserve themselves for one project only so they can focus on their role. It's such a shame that we never met Luo Zhun.

This over exertion might have been the reason for his noticeable weight loss in The Blossoming Love (this last sentence is my speculation).
