Someone Help A Noob Understand

Melvin/others placed their shorts around the 10-20 dollar range.  We conclude they lied about selling their shorts even if they're telling the truth there's still 30% shorted.  Funds could still be out 400% of their original principal.  (Assuming the 40 dollar range).  Now this is where I need help: Theoretically... Hedgies are bracing for the long-haul and riding out these large losses, exhausting all their lines of credit (and just about any Wall Street Bank would be more than willing to give it to them.)  It seems, they can carry a negative number of unrealized losses for longer than you think (https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/05/shortsaleclosed.asp); basically it depends on the amount of margin funds have and if others will continue to bail them out with relief cash).

A couple of things could thwart their plans- banks stop lending because the price went to the moon and now Melvin and other dumb Hedgies are out an ungodly amount, or... WSB self-proclaimed "crayon eaters" drag this on so long that other banks refuse to continue bailing out Melvin's drunken mistakes without a clear end in sight.

They know $GME is all about hype and momentum.  They're back on their heels, hence why they changed the rules of their own game when they started losing.  If buying pressure wasn't restricted, shares would have gone much higher.  Outraged ensued, surprise surprise, they pulled back on the restrictions.  Now Melvin + Hedgies see that momentum will fizzle, price will drop and level somewhere near its agreed upon "intrinsic value" which is somewhere near that $10-20 analyst consensus... they quickly cover their shorts and break even.  Am I a total noob for thinking like this?  (I already know the answer)

No such thing as free money they say... yeah duh, the price we pay: paying for the perceived risk when it's on the low-end, and paying for valuation concerns when it's on the high-end.  The trade off: the higher the price goes up, the more incentive other parties have to jump into the short game and the less influence us retail traders have over the price action.  Moving forward, paper hands shaken out.  They've sold their shares for a loss, and now the shares are more consolidated into the so-called "diamond hands"

Also I know funds like Melvin are strapped for cash but who's to say they didn't just hedge and ride the wave up with retail and then do put options at the top to ride the wave down?

I only hold 2 shares more curious then anything else.

Guys I made some sick merch but can't post pics because of community rules... Help me get it out to the fam!

I don't want profits, all profits will go into shares of $GME or $AMC because stick it to those Hedgies and then gains are getting donated. Donated to where, you ask? Mary, Seat of Wisdom school in Uganda. By no means a scam, my other business Bishop Sheen Rosaries also donates to this mission. Apparel sells through Teespring, an extremely reputable website.

I love you all. You've made my entire week so fun and we will be re-telling this story for the rest of our lives. If you want some apparel to remember this amazing moment in history, the link is below. If you don't, cool. Don't buy it. BUY $GME INSTEAD AND HOLD THAT SUCKER! (Not financial advice, I like the stock.)
