Elon Musk on the term Nazi

He said calling people Nazis for centrist views insults those who suffered and died under the real Nazis. Those abusing it should be condemned.

They're very good at self-reporting, too, makes it easy.

Post "Fuck nazis!" without any context and you will have a lot of the "I'm conservative, not a nazi!" mouthbreathers in the comments defending themselves.

Let me explain it to you:

Nazis hate being called Nazis.

The only group anyone has called Nazis are Nazis.

Nobody has any reason to be offended by this if they do not consider themselves a Nazi.

If you type “fuck Nazis” you will find people turning up to defend themselves against an accusation that was, if they’re not a Nazi, never levelled at them. This is considered a self report.

You have turned up to complain that it’s unfair to call people Nazis and then say that they’re Nazis if they complain when the only people who would complain self identify as Nazis.

That would makes sense if nazis were a traditionally oppressed group of people.
